Husky Ranch-Glacier & Bay Views! Charming Home-Gentle Wilderness--Serenity

Staying out of town on 10 acres, you'll feel the serenity of Alaskan country and wilderness beauty! Due to a fire last spring, we are remodeling and adding a sunroom, bathroom upstairs, wraparound porch, larger rooms upstairs, larger kitchen, and totally redone interior! This comfortable, clean home has windows framing postcard-worthy views! Great hiking trails are close by. Comfort for the soul! The space This small ranch used to be home to a kennel of 80 huskies who did tours for 20 years! Today, the dogs are gone, but there's wonderful hiking trails close by, wild flowers to pick and maybe one of our local moose neighbors will wander by! Very private yet open to the ever changing scene of Kachemak Bay, the glaciers and mountains. Due to a bad fire on Mothers Day, 2023, we are remodeling and adding on to make this your dream vacation spot in Alaska! Guest access You will have the whole house to call 'home' while you stay at the ranch! Other things to note If you want to play with husky puppies, please stop by our other Airbnb in Cooper Landing called Kahtnu Spirit Lodging where I often have puppies under 6 weeks old that are Iditarod bound! When they get too old, I give them back to their owners and get a fresh litter! As a retired dog musher, raising the pups is one things I still love to do! Note: there have been times that the puppies aren't available for one reason or another. We would love to meet our Homer guests on your way north!
