Description
More than meets the eye! Please note that this is one of the most distinctive houses in the Barossa region: The front house is 170-year-old . Built by European immigrants, it was not only their home but also where they planted the first vineyards, shaping Barossa’s wine history, with a cellar that stays warm in winter and cool in summer. The 170-year-old towering trees in the courtyard stand as silent witnesses to its long history. The back house is only 10 years old and modern. The space Important Property Layout Notes Please note that this property consists of two separate houses on the same site, offering a unique and rustic Barossa experience: • House 1 (The Cottage): An original stone & brick cottage with historic charm. It contains an oven, a cozy interior, and a fireplace for heating. • House 2 (The bungalow ): A separate tin-roofed structure with a stove and an open-style bathroom. It is well-ventilated but may feel cold during winter months. Bedroom 5 Notice: The fifth bedroom is a single bed near the fourth bedroom . It is only accessible via fourth bedroom or through an outdoor area. While fun for adventurous travelers or kids, it may not be suitable for adults seeking full privacy. Winter Tips: As this is a countryside escape, we recommend packing warm clothes and UGG boots during colder seasons. Heaters are provided, but due to the traditional structure of the houses, indoor temperatures may vary. Guest access All of the properties except the garage & maintenance laundry Other things to note Please keep the fire under control.
