Mystic View is located in the peaceful mountains of El Castillo, a small village near Arenal Volcano known for its beauty, wildlife, and authentic Costa Rican charm. Our home is filled with original artwork, tropical gardens, and unique personal touches collected over many years. Unlike a typical hotel, Mystic View offers a cozy, artistic, and authentic Costa Rica experience surrounded by nature. Guests often enjoy spotting toucans, parrots, hummingbirds, butterflies, and monkeys right from the terrace while listening to the sounds of the rainforest. At approximately 2400 feet elevation, the home also enjoys cooler mountain breezes and comfortable evenings year-round. Guest access Guests have access to the entire private villa, outdoor terrace, gardens, and parking area. The property is peaceful and secluded, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Arenal. Nearby activities include hiking, river walks, birdwatching, kayaking, horseback riding, hot springs, waterfalls, and Arenal Volcano adventures. El Castillo offers a quieter and more authentic experience than the busier tourist areas while still being close to restaurants and attractions. Other things to note Mystic View is located in the rainforest, so guests should expect tropical weather, occasional insects, sounds of nature, and changing mountain conditions that are all part of the authentic Costa Rica experience. Our home is also filled with original artwork and cherished décor, so we kindly ask guests—especially those traveling with children—to help us treat the space with care and respect. Recent improvements have been made to both the main access road and the property driveway, including paving the steep driveway to the house for a smoother and easier arrival experience.
