Cosy & spacious set in 4 acres, 11 miles from Bude

In the heart of the Ruby Country we are ideally positioned for a wonderful holiday exploring both Devon & Cornwall. Bude is just 15 mins away with beautiful sandy beaches, rugged coast line & coastal walk, surfing, sea pool, canal, shops & places to eat. Explore Dartmoor, picturesque villages such as Boscastle, Tintagel, Padstow & Clovelly, or a trip to Lundy. An ideal stay if you love walking, cycling, swimming or to just relax & unwind with a coffee, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The space Brokkr Bungalow is set in the middle of our small holding with beautiful views across the fields but close to all the amenities. Watch the deer and wildlife that come into the field & relax at the end of the day and gaze at the stars. We are ideally situated to explore both Devon & Cornwall with their amazing beaches / coves and coastline & picturesque villages. Whether you like walking, cycling, swimming or to just relax & watch the world go by there is something for everyone to enjoy. Set in the middle of the Ruby County surrounded by countryside and close to Cookbury Forest, Holsworthy Forest & Dunsland (National Trust). The Ruby Walk is on our doorstep with the famous Tarka Trail a few miles away. Tamar & Roadford Lakes are close by and offer water sports, lovely walks and tea rooms. If you like fishing Simpson Valley Fisheries is right next door providing coarse / trout fishing. There are lots of village pubs, cafes, tea rooms and restaurants near by to chose from to. There are plenty of attractions close by including golfing, archery, coasteering, canoeing , visit Docton Gardens, the Gnome Sanctuary or watch the steam engines, plus much more. You enter through the French doors into the fully equipped modern kitchen with a table and four chairs. The cosy sitting room looks out onto the patio with beautiful views across the fields, two large comfortable sofas to relax on and watch the TV, wildlife and our wonderful sunsets. Deer, birds and foxes regularly come into the field. There are also a selection of books, puzzles and games for you to use during your stay with us There are two good sized bedrooms off the living room, one with a king-sized bed and the other with a double bed. Both have large wardrobes with drawers. The large tiled bathroom has a walk in shower and separate bath. Outside there are two patios to the front and rear of the bungalow, both with table and chairs so that you can catch the sun throughout the day and watch the sunrise & sunset. There is plenty of parking next to the bungalow, marked by granite stone. Guest access You are welcome to wander around our field and take advantage of the wooden benches to relax and watch the wildlife and take in the view. There is a wet suit wash to rinse your wet suit / surf board / body board after a days surfing and a washing line to dry them. Or to wash muddy boots / bicycles after a days walking and exploring the coastal path, forest or moors. There is plenty of parking in our yard for two cars Please do not enter the open barn or any other barns/ buildings on site. These are private property and no admittance is allowed to unauthorized personnel. To comply with Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 full names & nationalities of guests over the age of 16 must be provided. For guests who are not British, Irish or from a Commonwealth Country will also be required to provide a passport number and details of onwards travel. No Smoking or Vaping anywhere on site. I am sorry but our site is not suitable for smokers. Our home is adjacent to Brokkr Bungalow and we can be on hand should you need any help but will leave you to enjoy your holiday undisturbed.
