The space Rainbow’s Edge Lodge is a spacious, family-owned log home designed for relaxing, reconnecting, and making lasting memories. The home offers multiple comfortable bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious dining room, and a warm, inviting living room with plenty of seating for gathering after a day of exploring the Endless Mountains. The covered porch and outdoor spaces offer a peaceful place to enjoy your morning coffee, watch for wildlife, or unwind beneath the stars. Set on 6.5 private wooded acres, the lodge offers both privacy and room to enjoy the outdoors while remaining just a short drive from hiking, fishing, state parks, local shops, and restaurants. Throughout the home, you’ll discover touches of our family’s history. Many of the furnishings and décor have been lovingly preserved, including original furniture from my parents’ first home, handmade artwork, and photographs documenting the construction of the lodge. Built by my parents, along with family members and friends as their retirement dream, Rainbow’s Edge Lodge is more than a vacation rental—it’s a place that has been cherished for generations. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a reunion with friends, or a quiet mountain escape, we hope you’ll feel right at home. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the main floor and second floor of Rainbow’s Edge Lodge during their stay. The following areas are private and are not included with your reservation: * Basement * Garages beneath the house * Locked owner’s closet in the Pink Bedroom * Any other locked storage or utility areas These areas are clearly marked as Restricted – No Guest Access and contain the owners’ personal belongings, maintenance equipment, and supplies. For the safety and security of the property, these restricted areas are protected by an alarm system. Any attempt to tamper with or gain unauthorized access may activate the alarm system. Unauthorized entry into restricted areas is a violation of the House Rules and may result in immediate termination of your reservation without refund, additional charges for any damages, and, if necessary, notification of law enforcement. Guests are welcome to enjoy all other areas of the home, including the kitchen, living room, dining room, loft area, bedrooms (except the locked owner’s closet), bathrooms, covered porch, and the surrounding outdoor areas. Other things to note Rainbow’s Edge Lodge is a privately owned family home located on 6.5 wooded acres in the beautiful Pennsylvania Endless Mountains. We want every guest to have a wonderful stay, so please take a moment to review the following important information before booking. Minimum Booking Age The primary guest making the reservation must be 25 years of age or older, must remain on the property for the duration of the stay, and is responsible for all guests, visitors, and compliance with the House Rules. Reservations made on behalf of someone else or by guests under the minimum age requirement are not permitted. ⸻ Wildlife & Nature One of the best parts of staying at Rainbow’s Edge Lodge is experiencing nature. Deer are frequent visitors, and you may also see wild turkeys, rabbits, foxes, and many species of birds. Because the lodge is located in a rural mountain setting, native wildlife such as black bears, bobcats, coyotes, raccoons, porcupines, snakes, and other woodland animals may occasionally be seen, particularly during the early morning or evening hours. Please supervise children and pets at all times while outdoors, never approach or feed wildlife, and enjoy all animals from a safe distance. ⸻ Nature & Pests Rainbow’s Edge Lodge is located in the heart of the Pennsylvania woods. While the home is professionally cleaned and routinely treated for pests, it is impossible to guarantee that an occasional fly, moth, ladybug, spider, ant, mouse, or other insect or woodland pest will never enter the home. These occasional occurrences are a normal part of staying in a rural mountain environment and do not constitute a cleanliness issue or a maintenance deficiency. No refunds, discounts, credits, or cancellations will be provided due to the presence of insects, spiders, mice, or other naturally occurring woodland pests. If you notice anything that appears unusual or excessive, please notify us immediately so we can address it as quickly as possible. By booking Rainbow’s Edge Lodge, guests acknowledge that they are choosing accommodations in a wooded, rural setting where occasional wildlife and insects are an expected part of the natural environment. If you are uncomfortable with the possibility of encountering occasional insects or wildlife associated with a wooded mountain setting, Rainbow’s Edge Lodge may not be the best fit for your stay. ⸻ Well & Septic System The lodge is supplied by a private well and septic system rather than municipal water and sewer. We have unlimited hot water, but with larger groups we ask that showers be staggered and that guests be mindful of water usage. The well is equipped with a safety system that temporarily pauses water service if the water level drops too low to protect the well pump. This has never occurred during a guest stay, but we believe it’s important to be transparent. To help protect the septic system, please flush only toilet paper. Do not flush wipes (even those labeled “flushable”), feminine hygiene products, paper towels, diapers, cotton swabs, or other items. ⸻ Mountain Roads & Winter Weather Road conditions can change quickly during the winter months. Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is strongly recommended whenever snow or ice is expected. Guests are responsible for monitoring weather forecasts and planning travel accordingly. ⸻ Respect for the Property Rainbow’s Edge Lodge is a family-owned home that has been lovingly cared for over many years. We ask that you treat it with the same care and respect you would your own home so future guests can enjoy it as much as you do. ⸻ Firearms, Fireworks & Recreational Vehicles Responsible firearm owners are welcome; however, firearms may not be discharged anywhere on the property and must always remain under the owner’s control while complying with all applicable laws. Fireworks are strictly prohibited due to the risk of wildfire, property damage, disturbance to wildlife, and consideration for neighboring properties. To help preserve our 6.5-acre property, ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, go-karts, and other off-road recreational vehicles may not be operated anywhere on the lawn, fields, or wooded areas. ⸻ Dogs We welcome up to three dogs with the applicable pet fee. For everyone’s enjoyment, dogs must be supervised outdoors, cleaned up after, and may not be left unattended inside the home unless securely crated. Please help us protect the furniture by keeping pets off beds and upholstered furniture unless covered. ⸻ Security Cameras For the safety and security of our guests and property, exterior security cameras monitor the outside of the home. There are no cameras inside the house or in any private areas.
