Description

If you want to spend a quiet or an active holiday, this place is perfect for you. Proximity to Oslo with its active city life, Ski resorts and Vestby outlet with the possibility of shopping, beautiful Drøbak, Tusenfryd and many other experiences await. You can relax in the hot tub, take a walk in the woods or use many of the nice beaches on Nesodden. The house is located near the beach, so it is easy to take a trip. Regardless of the weather and your wishes, we guarantee you the perfect vacation! Just ask us! The space December 19-25 we are away, so the whole home is at your disposal. Do you want a nice holiday or a weekend in a charming home on Nesodden? Half of the house has been renovated by Sinnasnekkér'n himself, while in the other part we have retained the original timber walls. Now we are in the process of renovating the living room on the ground floor for a more pleasant experience for our guests. Until then, guests can use the living room on the 2nd floor, which is very nice. It's important to note that parts of the home are rented out, so outside of the main holidays you will share the home with us who own the house! It is important to read the entire description and see all the pictures before you decide if you want to rent the place so that we avoid unpleasant experiences or surprises, both us as hosts and you as guests. The kitchen has been upgraded to newer standards. If you want a quiet vacation/weekend or a place with lots of possibilities, this home is everything you want. Oslo with city life, concerts and restaurants is just a boat ride away. The Christmas town of Drøbak is always great to visit. There is also an aquarium, beaches and nice hiking opportunities. You can take the boat to Oskarsborg. Want to go to Stand up at the City Hall in Ski? If you are interested in shopping, both Oslo, Vinterbro senter, Drøbak city, Ski storsenter or Vestby outlet are not far away. The house was built in 1890, the second floor was demolished in 2023, rebuilt and completed in 2024 so it is brand new. In 2025, we started renovating the ground floor. We appreciate that you are careful when you are on the second floor, as it is brand new and nice. The first floor you can use freely, TV room, living room, dining room, outdoor area and bedroom. The rooms are spacious with large windows. There is the possibility to cook in the kitchen, as well as relax on the terrace. There is a hot tub/spa bath both inside and outside. Outside there is a large garden and terrace with many seats. We have brought out a trampoline and eventually there will be a ping-pong table. You can play club, cuddle with rabbits or just sit and relax. Enjoying the Spa bath in the evenings is something that provides relaxation and a unique experience that not many other homes can offer. Inside you can play games, watch TV, read a book or relax. Above the garage there is a large playroom that can be used freely by the guests. There are blocks, duplo, cars, horses, disco lights, or you can just sit and read a book. The house has its own well with a treatment plant and its own drainage system. Thus, nothing can be thrown in the toilet, not even toilet paper. There is a separate trash can for that. All bedrooms have a door that can be closed. TV living room and dining room on the 1st floor are on one side of the house and should not be shared with anyone else. The home should never be shared with other guests. The floor plan does not quite match what it looks like down there, that's what it will look like when we are completely finished with the renovation. The house is located next to the county road. So if you are not used to living in the city, it can be experienced as extra noise. We have installed measures such as sound insulation in windows, so we recommend having them closed at night and rather have ventilation systems that run quietly, but add clean and cold air. The advantage of this is that there is public transport right outside the home so you are not dependent on a car. You can easily get to many places just by bus and boat. Guest access We are renovating the living room on the ground floor and have replaced the exterior walls. This means that the living room on the first floor is not in use as of today. The terrace can be used now. But guests can use living room no. 2 on the second floor, the playroom above the garage, and the outdoor area. It is also possible to get the bedroom upstairs with a single bed and mattress or double bed while the renovation downstairs is in progress. See pictures. You can use the entire outdoor area and the playground above the garage. The jacuzzi inside is not in use as of today, as the windows were replaced and it is not secured against moisture inside as of today. Other things to note If you want to use the hot tub outside, bring your own swimwear and towels for it. It is important that you shower before using the hot tub. Bed linens and towels are included in the price.
