State parks, forests & natural areas nearby, World-class fishing, mountain biking, boating/kayaking, cross-country skiing and hiking. Relax in this countryside lake town, enjoy the beauty of Centre Pennsylvania, and/or come for a football weekend! The space Small, quiet, lake-side community; Fire pit in private & partially fenced backyard, outdoor patio and eating area, an old-world style front porch with water view, free parking. A comfortable home to relax in and enjoy the water, mountain views and beautiful sunsets; a well-equipped base from which to explore Central Pennsylvania and the surrounding Happy Valleys. Penn State University Park Campus/State College PA is ~25+ miles away and amazingly beautiful town of Bellefonte is 10 miles away both with a variety of excellent dining, pubs and local entertainment. Private and quiet setting but with plenty to do all year round. Steps away from the Reservoir Levee and Lake and local park(s) with fabulous water access and lake views, playgrounds, pavilion, volleyball court, picnic areas A short, easy walk gets you to a good breakfast/lunch restaurant; a few more steps to another eatery for pizza, lasagna, burgers. But that’s just in the sweet town of Howard. there's a lot more to our area. Howard, Centre County and nearby areas have lots to offer young adults, work-from-home professionals, families, retirees, dog-lovers, birders and active outdoor enthusiasts. Keep an eye out for Amish buggies on the roads in and out of town but take advantage of their local farm produce, bakeries and stores. Lots of local and nearby community events and activities that the nearby universities (PSU and LHU) have to offer, that is, great sport events of all kinds (PSU football, basketball, etc), concerts, and many family friendly activities. Hike on the many Bald Eagle lake trails, watch the university crew team practice as you picnic near the shore, kayak, canoe, learn to wind surf, fish, bird watch or explore nearby historic Bellefonte or Curtain village. Guest access Entire house and backyard; parking areas in the front of the house are available as well as private parking in the rear of the home. A short walk to West End Park provides access to the lake and levee walk. The sunsets and views of mountains and the long valley from West End park will no doubt be a favorite daily trek during your stay. Other things to note This home is well-equipped for relaxing ‘vacation’ by the lake with family or friends. Perfect for the work-from-home professional(s) to get work done but also allow for a variety of off-hour activities as you to get to know our area. Central Pennsylvania has a lot to offer and is located near many state parks to explore.
