Listen to music, read a book, enjoy conversation, play cards, dominos, checkers or grab an extra blanket from my mom's old cedar chest (master king bedroom) and take a nap. If games/cards aren't out, they can usually be found in the drawers in the large furniture. The back den is the only room on the main living level with a TV. This cozy room has comfy seating, kids games & toys, a wireless printer and a DVD player with dvd's. The woodburning stove fireplace isn't available for guests use. The front and side porch are great for enjoying the outdoors. Behind the original Summer Kitchen, is the back yard. Here you will find a grill, fireplace, hammock, dining table and over 3 acres of greenspace. There is complimentary firewood usually left at the firepit area. If you need a few sticks more, venture down to the mini barn. You will find the woodshed down there. The original 1850's Saddlebag Summer Kitchen is not available for rentals just yet. Feel free to peek in the windows. This building has 1 chimney with 4 fireplaces, 2 downstairs, 2 upstairs and 2 original entry doors with cat cubbies. These cabins were called Saddlebag due to the symmetrical 2 entry doors, and divided living/working spaces, like a saddlebag on a horse saddle. This building used to be connected to the main house by a breezeway. What we use as the owners pantry off the back porch was the connected space. Just look at the worn doorway thresholds! We hope you enjoy our place. P.S. Please note that due to my undiagnosed urge to rearrange furniture constantly, the arrangements may be different than pictures shown. 🤣 Guest access whole house, yard, parking in paved driveway and public parking out front-on Broad street
