Fairweather Friend - a cozy, secluded OKC getaway
Renovated 1976 Airstream Argosy, A Wooded Retreat in Oklahoma City
Description
Relax and be inspired in a totally re-imagined 1976 Airstream Argosy, nestled in the trees on an acreage in OKC. A labor of love, the trailer is full of wood details and eccentric touches and for years was my home and recording studio. Now you can experience the cozy magic the space has to offer, a truly unique stay. The space The trailer is located on an acreage / family compound in Northeast OKC. It is located at the end of a deadend road and has a private, dedicated entrance. The property itself features lots of trees, a small pond, and a field to relax in - you are free to walk around the property. Guest access You are free to use the natural space around the trailer, take a walk along the road, and walk around the pond. Other things to note It's important to understand that this is a trailer and not a house - I know that may seem obvious, but staying here, while super romantic and cozy, is also understanding the reality that it is a very small space. The cielings are about 7ft at their highest, and the entire space is less than 8ft wide and 23ft long. The bed is a full size bed, and the bathroom is very compact, and importantly, USES A COMPOSTING TOILET. There are little eccentricities to the trailer in terms of how doors are opened, and it is important to pay attention to how much humudity is being trapped in the trailer. So basically it's a little more involved than your typical modern house - its a 50 year old travel trailer - but that's also it's charm. Oh, and as the name of the listing implies - it's your best friend in fine weather but can be rough in freezing temps - which is why I have it blocked off during the winter months unless the temperature permits.
