In the heart of Tamarindo, Balcones del Pacifico is steps from the beach, shops, & restaurants. This penthouse unit (stairs to 3rd floor, no elevator) is part of an intimate gated complex of 21 homes that is guarded at night. Get activity recommendations/assistance from the locally based property management company. The area offers many activities including surfing, ATV rentals, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, and ziplines. But once inside the condo, you may never want to leave. Welcome to paradise with all the comforts of home. Enjoy a romantic getaway or bring your friends or family, as there is plenty of space. Sleep comfortably on beds with soft sheets (1 king and 2 twin beds) in the two bedrooms of this condo. Have more than 4 guests? Enjoy the Queen-sized sofa sleeper in the living room that also sleeps 2, which allows our condo to accommodate 6 guests. The condo is fully air-conditioned throughout, with an A/C unit in each room. No need to pack linens, towels, or basic toiletries. All are provided. The living room and kitchen offer plenty of room to hang out inside to chat, play cards, watch television, work remotely, or email your friends using the condo’s 100 mbps wifi. If you’d rather enjoy the Tamarindo weather, you can also go outside to your own balcony and sit at the bistro table; go downstairs to the courtyard pool; or go upstairs to the condo’s private rooftop terrace. Fully equipped with lounges (including a romantic double lounge), a picnic table, and exterior lighting, the rooftop terrace is for your exclusive use. Remember that only the guests listed on your reservation for our condo are allowed within the gated community. If you meet some new Tico friends, please socialize in town. It is against the house rules to bring anyone into our condo except the people expressly listed in your reservation. With a well-stocked kitchen (cookware, bakeware, tableware for 6, microwave, blender, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, toaster, range, and full-sized refrigerator) and an electric BBQ grill on the balcony, you may choose to make your meals in your home away from home. Enjoy a croissant made by the French pastry chef at Utopia, or bring takeout up to the condo from the outdoor food court El Mercadito just down the street. Tamarindo offers many great dining choices—everything from street food to fine cuisine. A wide variety of choices can be found within walking distance or a short drive. Check the Guest Book in the condo as well as in my Guidebook on this site for recommendations. Grab the beach chairs from the closet, take the sarongs from the hall and head to the beach for the day. Or maybe you would rather read a book and nap on a lounge chair on the rooftop terrace. Or maybe you’d like to enjoy a cerveza while you play one of the card or board games available in the condo. Whatever you choose, you can’t make a bad decision. Live music, night clubs, and excitement are all just steps away, but you’ll never hear the crowd once you retreat to your private oasis at Balcones del Pacifico. And for the enjoyment of all your neighbors within Balcones del Pacifico, we ask that you are respectful and quiet during your stay. No need to pack a big suitcase of clothes! You can wash your clothes, beachwear and colored pool towels in the in-unit washer and dryer. We ask our beach loving guests to use the provided sarongs on the beach (not the towels from the condo!) Just shake the sand from the sarongs on the beach before heading back to the condo. Please use the outdoor shower next to the pool to rinse the sand off before heading up the stairs to the condo. This will keep your living space sand free and enjoyable during your stay. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy this spectacular location! Guests have full access to the entire space. This 3rd floor condo includes a kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, hallway storage, balcony off living room, and an upstairs rooftop terrace for the exclusive use of the condo’s occupants. You will not be sharing this space with anyone except the people you bring with you! As a registered guest, you are also welcome to use the pool which is in the fenced courtyard of the 21 unit condominium complex. Remember Smoking, vaping, or use of any tobacco related product is expressly prohibited in the common areas of Balcones del Pacifico, inside our condo, on our condo’s balcony, and on our condo’s rooftop terrace. If you violate this house rule, the rental will be terminated. No refund will be provided and damages will be assessed. Free parking is available right outside the locked gate of the community and also on the street in front of the condominium complex. I don't live in Tamarindo, but I visit frequently. If I happen to be in the area during your stay, and you desire to meet with me in person, I'm happy to do so, if you have a need. I'm also very responsive to email. Our Tamarindo-based management company is available to answer any questions you might have and provide recommendations during your stay. The property manager can help make arrangements for transportation, tours, car rentals, etc...and speaks fluent English and Spanish! You can walk to most places you will want to go. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, souvenir shops, a park, banks, the beach, taxi stand, etc. are all within a 5-15 minute walk. You can rent a car or take a shuttle from the airport in Liberia (LIR) to the front door of the condo. -A site you can use to find a rental car is: rentalcars.com. -A site you can use to book a shuttle from the airport in Liberia (LIR) to Tamarindo is: tamarindoshuttle.com. You can also take the public bus to Tamarindo from the airport. The bus stop is only a 5 min walk to the condo. If you don't have a car, in Tamarindo you can rent a golf cart or an ATV to get around town, if you don't want to walk everywhere. However, most places are within (at most) 15 minutes walking. Are you planning your first trip to Costa Rica? You’ll love it! But there are a few things you should know before you go. -The plumbing systems throughout the country are sensitive. Most public restrooms request that you not put paper of any kind in the toilets. Waste cans are provided for toilet paper next to toilets. In this condo you may flush some toilet paper down the toilet but never flush feminine hygiene products in any toilet in Costa Rica. -There are many dirt roads around Tamarindo, including the street that leads to the condo. During the rainy season, these roads can become muddy. During the dry season, the roads can be dusty. Plan accordingly. -Tamarindo has many grocery stores. We recommend that you visit several to find a store that best suits your needs.
