The Kensington Cottage

Relax and unwind in our newly-renovated cottage, just a short walk from downtown Southern Pines! Spend the day admiring the beauty of the local trails and Sandhill Horticultural Gardens, or explore the quaint "SoPi" shops and Sunrise Theater. Only a ten minute drive to Pinehurst, the area boasts some of the nation's best golfing and a fabulous restaurant scene. The cottage features a new Nectar queen mattress, fast WiFi, an oversized shower, a modern kitchen, and a private yard with fire pit. The space Private detached Cottage with a studio layout. This space is designed for 1-2 guests, but a twin air mattress may be provided for a third guest, if needed. The whole Cottage is brand new, complete with luxury vinyl flooring, a high specification kitchen and lovely bathroom with a large shower. The Cottage is situated in its own separate portion of the main home's backyard, entirely separated with a privacy fence and entrance through a side gate, accessible from a designated parking spot. There is a small fire pit in the private outdoor area behind the cottage featuring two Adirondack chairs for relaxing. Guests are responsible for obtaining firewood and supplies like fire starter, as desired. Guest access The Cottage has its own gated access, parking, and private yard. Other things to note Kitchen features a mini-fridge with freezer compartment, multi-purpose microwave with air fryer function, full electric range and oven, and farmhouse style sink with plenty of counter space. Fully outfitted with single serving Keurig coffee maker, pots and pans, baking sheets, and utensils you'll need for basic cooking needs. Stackable washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, a dedicated corner work space, and under-bed storage to facilitate longer stays. Smart TV swivels for easy viewing from eating area or while relaxing in bed. This small space is designed for 1-2 adults. An air mattress is available for a third guest, if necessary. Such a set up would be best for a couple with a small child rather than three adults. The Cottage has one dedicated parking space. Please inquire about long term discounts, especially for military personnel at the per diem rate. Please note neither the Cottage is not child-proof (no baby gates, no outlet covers or corner protectors, and decor selected for adults in mind).
