This beautiful log cabin sits on Ball Run (creek) a short distance from the Mohican River. Large enough to gather friends and family, and cozy enough for a quiet couple's retreat. Ball Run Cabin is tucked into the peaceful Mohican hills and just a few minutes from all the local action. Formally Simple Blessings Cabin, our family is honored to continue on the tradition of blessing others. The space ***Second floor detached guest house (queen bed, full bath w/jacuzzi tub) available to bookings with 8 or more guests*** New for 2026, fully renovated basement access with new washer and dryer! Relax with a warm cup of our locally roasted coffee or a good book on one of the property's four porches overlooking Ball Run. The large yard is encircled by Ball Run and holds the fire pit with fire wood provided, raspberry bushes, grapevines, shady seating areas, propane grill, picnic table and many more nooks to explore. Ample parking available steps from the cabin. One level living is achievable at the cabin. The living room, full kitchen and two full bathrooms are located on the first floor. Of which one bathroom contains a jacuzzi tub. Also on the first floor, a full bedroom is open to the living space and isolated by curtains. The second floor loft offers a new queen bed and XL twin bed. The other half of the loft offers four new XL twin beds. The cabin is efficiently heated and cooled all year round (fireplace is decorative only). The cabin is ideally located moments from downtown Loudonville, Mohican State Park, Landoll's Castle and a bit further out Snow Trails, Mt. Vernon, Ashland, Mansfield, Berlin and Wooster. The mountain bike trailhead is a short two mile ride away and Ball Run Cabin is located on the Gravel Grinder Race course. Hiking, trail running and canoeing are also within a short bike ride. Canoe liveries, coffee shops, shopping, the movie theater, and wineries are all less than a five minute drive. It is centrally located 1 hour from Cleveland and Columbus, and 45 minutes to the Football Hall of Fame in Akron. Snow Trails ski resort 25 minutes. It's the perfect home base for a wedding at Landoll's Castle, a mountain bike race or trail race, any of the many festivals- Loudonville Car Show, Bluegrass Festival, Mohican Pow Wow, Heritage Days at Pine Run, Pine Run Winefest or Oktoberfest- just to name a few. Our family home shares the property with Ball Run Cabin and Mohican Hike House (coming summer 2026 to Airbnb!) as the homes are original to these hills and were born from the very sawmill still standing on the property. We are very active in the area and would love to help you plan the perfect stay. Guest access Access to all floors of the cabin. The entire yard and porches within the perimeter of Ball Run Cabin. Trailer/RV parking available. Enclosed storage for bicycles, motorcycles, ATVs and convertibles/classic cars available with prior approval. Garage and barn access is limited to larger gatherings and retreats. Please inquire. Other things to note All bedrooms are loft style, no solid doors. Separating can be created with curtains if desired. To prevent the spread of invasive pests and diseases, please leave your firewood at home. Firewood is provided on site.
