On top of a beautiful mountain near Cartago city. The house is located in an avocado plantation with a big yard and many animals around to play with. Free Avocados when is the season, feel free to take fruits from the garden. A great countryside experience with an amazing fresh weather: it’s warm at day and cold at night! The perfect getaway from the chaotic city or after/before a trip. Important to arrive whit 4x4. The space We provide towels and clean sheets, also there’s a fridge and two kitchens. (gas and electric stoves) The view is amazing you can see Cartago city throughout the day and night. The property is pretty big so there’s a lot of space for you to walk around, have a picnic, practice some yoga and make a wonderful fireplace at night around friendly dogs and avocado sandwiches. In our property you can find oranges, lemons, avocados, nisperos. Guest access We are very close to the Irazú Volcano and some kilometers away you can find the Turrialba Volcano (active). You can also find Prusia (beautiful conservation area) in a 25 minute drive and Tapantí also a conservation with extreme ecological importance. Guayabo, also located in Cartago near the Turrialba Volcano, is the biggest archeological area in Costa Rica where archaeologists found remainings of ancient cities. You can find Chirripo, the biggest mountain in Costa Rica in a 2 hour drive. Cartago was the first capital in Costa Rica and that means it is full of historical secrets with a lot to see and capture with the eyes. The food is great, there are restaurants near and an amazing pizza place with delicious pizza, beer and sangria. We offer guided tours by the host. The tours consist of choosing two places from the following list: Irazu Volcano National Park Turrialba Volcano National Park Guayabo National Park Monte Sky Tapantí National Park Prusia National Park Sanatorio Duran The price is 100$ per family. The tickets for accessing national parks are not included. There is a shopping mall (Paseo Metrópoli) in the city with everything you can find inside a shopping mall.
