Discover the unmatched, natural beauty of the Red River Gorge, amongst the stars! This cozy glamping tent wagon is just like camping, but with a much more comfy place to lay your head. Experience the excitement of outdoor living, but without the need to pack a tent! The space Situated along the Red River, inside the protected Daniel Boone National Forest and only minutes from the famous Nada Tunnel, outdoor enthusiasts will love the convenience of this location. “Sunny Haze” is located at Red River Adventure Campground, a quiet and serene locale for anyone looking for a peaceful vacation exploring the Gorge. Inside the glamper, guests will be pleased to find a queen size bed suitable for up to 2 guests, a mini-fridge, a toaster oven with air-fry capabilities and a drip-style coffee maker. Zippered windows allow you to enjoy the night time breeze. A portable air conditioning unit helps to circulate air as well. Outside, a spacious porch with seating allows for tranquil nights alone or with a partner. Grill dinner on the park-style charcoal grill or roast some marshmallows around the campfire. Take a stroll down to the entrance of the campground to book a kayaking trip…guests are shuttled to the boat slip a few miles upriver and you can land right back where you started! No trying to find parking or lugging your own kayak! The glamper is only steps away from the river itself, but there’s no designated landing spot past the campground (must be booked and paid for separately). A few things to know… -The campground does NOT have access to potable water. You need to pack in your own. Nada Spring is just a couple miles down the road. Locals have used it for their own water source for years. Bring your own container. -There are Porta Potty toilets within a short walk of the glamper. Please bring toilet paper. No showers available at this time. -You will see bugs. It's their world and we just live in it! Although the glamper has a two-paneled zipper front, it is not insect-proof. We leave a mosquito net inside that can be attached to the hook in the ceiling (covers the bed) if you should decide to use it. Features… -Sleeps up to 2 guests -Queen bed supplied with sheets, 2 pillows and a blanket (bring extra if you like) -Mini fridge/freezer -Drip-style coffee maker (filters provided - bring coffee) -Toaster oven with air-fry feature -Portable Air conditioner -Mosquito net -Portable heater (fall and early spring months only) -Porta Potty toilets within a short walk (bring toilet paper) -Charcoal Grill -Fire ring (we suggest bringing camp chairs for seating). Firewood is available for purchase at the Red River Adventure office at the entrance to the campground. -Pet Friendly (with fee - 1 pet max) Other things to note Consider bringing these items along with you for a more comfortable stay... -Drinking water (a must!) -Toilet paper -Towels -Flashlight or lantern -Insect repellant -Eating/drinking utensils -Grill utensils -Firestarter The State of Kentucky strongly advises residents and visitors to purchase local or certified, heat treated firewood to avoid moving forest pests that can destroy tree species.
