Are you looking for seclusion, slowing down and tranquility in an environment surrounded by forests and birdsong? Then you've found the right place! Located right between the small town of Valdemarsvik and Gryt's archipelago, you will find Sofielund. Possibility for many activities such as kayak and boat rental, walking trails, golf course and swimming, beach and fishing spots in both the sea and nearby lakes. The space The property consists of a 7000 sqm plot with 4 buildings on the property: main cabin, guest house, barn and older guest house that is not used today. The main cabin with its two floors consists of the living room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom #2 downstairs. Upstairs there are bedrooms #1 and #5, where bedroom #5 is more like a living room/extra beds with a single bed and a sofa bed. There are 2 patios, a smaller one behind the house with morning sun, adjoining bedroom #2, and the larger one in the front with afternoon and evening sun, perfect for barbecuing and dining at the large dining area. In the yellow guest house behind the barn there are bedrooms #3 and #4, with dry toilet with separett. There is also a fireplace and bookshelf filled with books. Thus, beds of 8 include both the main cabin and the guest house's beds. A family of 4-5 people can be accommodated in the main cabin. Guest access Guests may use all the spaces in the guest house and main house as well as the property. The barn and the older red guest house are excluded from access. You live alone on the farm, with the nearest neighbor about 1 km in each direction. Other things to note Bedrooms and Bathroom: - Bed linens, hand towels and bath towels (towels for the shower) are brought by the guests. - Pillows and duvets are available at the accommodation and do not need to be brought. - Toilet paper is available upon arrival, please refill if necessary for you. - Laundry detergent (powder form) available. - Hand soap is available Kitchen: - Spices in the form of salt, pepper and sugar are available. There's also a plethora of other spices that can be used by guests. - Dish soap (hand dish) and dish tablets (dishwasher) are available. - Hand soap is available Important about drinking water (Own well): It is worth mentioning that when you have your own well, there can sometimes be an odor created by hydrogen sulfide that can form in pockets in the well. It is completely safe to drink the water (sampling is done continuously), and if you experience this, our tip is to fill bottles with water and let them sit and air for 10-15 minutes, then put them in the refrigerator. This usually removes the odor. Of course, you can also buy bottled water at the grocery store in the city center and take it to the cabin if you prefer. Fireplace (main cabin) and fireplace (guest house) - Firewood is brought by guests Outdoor area - A trampoline (use under adult supervision; one pole is broken), soccer goals and a swing set (for the very little ones) are available on site for guests to use. - Other things for outdoor activities available are: Boule, pentathlon and kubb.
