Everfree Shire Ranch is an 11 Acre Estate and a magical oasis for travelers, wanderers, and the displaced who are seeking an economic alternative to regular campgrounds and parks. There are 5 acres of available housing options and campgrounds with a fantasy theme! The 6 acres in the back are grazing fields for horses. Perfect for star gazers / practicing camping! Groceries a few miles out. Your site's mascot is Elrond the Elf. "Elrond is a wise and powerful elf lord who presides over the Council of Rivendell, a gathering of heroes seeking to destroy the One Ring and defeat the dark lord Sauron. So he might not be here right now, he's a busy elf!" This site is the 2nd to last one on the trail leading to the bathroom, laundry, and shower. It is NOT accessible by vehicle. Please park in either a regular parking spot or in the overflow area and walk to camp. This site is approximately 35 ft x 50 ft and includes a shady spot near the fence (recommended for summer camping) There is standard electricity via extension cord. Amperage adapters are not allowed unless you have a voltage limiter because they trip the breaker. There is a water spigot on your site. There is a bathroom / laundry combo that is shared with house residents which you may use. If you bring your own shower or outhouse tent / solution, that's fine. 15 Amp only please! High amp adapters can trip the breaker so they're not allowed. Firepit / grill availability may vary. The new shower stall is working and has 6 gallons of hot water, but complete privacy is not there yet so please use swimwear attire at a minimum. The bathroom / laundry area on the side of the house is shared with the house guests, but available for use. Check map for RV Dumpsite Pets must be on a leash / penned for safety. If you are towing a vehicle and cannot fit it on your site, please ask about overflow parking. Trash must be bagged in 13 gallon bags or larger. Bags available upon request. If you'd like a bin at your site, just ask. Water source on this side is still via hose via the spigot in the common picnic area. RV grade filter and hose are provided, but you may use your own if you prefer. Interaction with the horses is allowed, but at your own risk. They are usually friendly, but can have bad days like anyone else. Please do not interact with my neighbor's horses which are on the other side of the wooden fenceline. Pets are allowed, but please keep them leashed / penned for safety. Paw protection recommended if going for walks due to some areas having stickers. Guest access The picnic table between sites 5 and 6 is a common area. If you need your own table, please ask. Availability is limited. The shower stall has 6 gallons of warm to hot water in a hot water tank. Minimum swimwear type attire is required with shoes / flipflops, crocs, etc. The bathroom / laundry area on the side of the house is shared with the house guests, but available for use. Other things to note Please ask if you need a table, chairs, grill etc. Availability may vary as we are just getting set up again and its an evolving situation. Generators are allowed, but please have them off by 10 PM if possible. All trash must be bagged in 13 gallon bags or above. If you would like a bin or bags / lining please just ask. Interaction with horses is at your own risk. They're usually friendly, but it is not recommended you walk into their area without an introduction at least. There's no HOA here, but please keep the appearance of your area tidy. No excessive junk piles or scrap heaps please. If you have a pile of stuff in a flat-bed, that's fine. Please be aware, this is Texas and the wildlife here is no joke. There is a small but real danger of snakes, scorpions, even coyotes. However there are also road-runners, deer, and more harmless nature in greater abundance. HEAT STROKE in the Texas summer is a very real thing and people from out of state might not be expecting it! When temperature are high for most of the day, please, stay hydrated! Don't forget suntan lotion. Stay in the shade! Feel free to wear a wide brimmed hat! This is Texas, that is acceptable summer wear here for a good reason.
