Camp David, a cozy red authentic log cabin that is almost 100 yrs old. Once used by gangsters from Chicago, it was built from logs floating in the lake. We have 100 feet of lake front & fabulous sandy bottom for swimming. The cabin sits 40 feet from the water. 600 square feet, a sleeping loft, frig, gas stove in kitchen, bath, four season porch & living room. Forced air heat & window A/C. Porch sleeps four and there is a sleeping loft with a queen size mattress. Our cabin has a kitchen, living and eating area. A three quarter bath. Four season porch with two double beds and a sleeping loft with a queen mattress. It is all log construction. About 600 square feet. On about 3/4 of an acre with 100 feet of shoreline. There are no boats available. A campfire spot for great campfires while watching the sunset. Guests have access to swimming in front of cabin, the cabin itself and the yard. The shed is locked and guests won't have access to it. The three wheeler is not available to guests. I am not in the area, but I am available by phone. Please call with any questions. Miles of trails for four-wheeling and snowmobile trails surround the area and have access to them at end of road on Cty Rd 1. Neighbors to north are year round. Neighbors to south are seasonal. Sunset View Lane has both year round residents and seasonal. East Fox Lake and West Fox Lake are connected by a channel - channel is shallow, use caution when boating between the two, raising up your motor. Public access is on Peninsula Rd across lake from us. Neighbors landing is not for our use. Car, four wheeling and snowmobiles. Nearby fun - Crosslake: Lake Country Cones and Crafts, Zorbas, Pine Peaks Restaurant, Town Square for shopping and more, mini-golf, DQ, public access to Whitefish chain of lakes at Trout Lake or Crosslake. Moonlight Bay restaurant, Reed's for groceries, ACE Hardware and a new brewery Emily: Emily Meats for old fashioned meat market great for steaks, Sweets N Such/Up North Gifts, Conoco gas station, ACE Hardware, Emily Golf Brainerd: Paul Bunyan Land and lots of shopping Crosby: midwest antique capital, a couple new breweries Fifty Lakes: Emily Golf, Golden Eagle Golf, Crosswoods Golf, 50 Lakes Bar and Bottle shop - Tuesdays are wings night, Wednesday $5 hamburger basket night.
