Welcome to cozy Mariefred and our green little house! The guest house is 30 sqm, newly built and centrally located 100 meters to the lake and a few minutes walk to Mariefred's city center. The guest house has its own patio and barbecue, but guests can also enjoy a swimming pool, jacuzzi and a larger terrace shared with the large main house. When we are not at home, you have free and completely private access to all the facilities. When we're home, we're happy to let guests have private time in shared spaces. The space The guest house has its own entrance from the terrace. Despite its small size, the house feels spacious and airy with French doors, many windows and high ceilings. It is a very well-planned and optimized accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen with stove, combined oven and microwave, dishwasher, spacious fridge and freezer, toaster and kettle. Porcelain, cutlery, cups, wine glasses, beer glasses are provided as well as basic spices and everything you need to cook meals. There is a Nespresso machine, capsules and lactose-free milk to make lungo or a good espresso. Tea bags are also available. In an open plan, there is a kitchen, dining area for 4 people and TV corner with a sofa and armchair. On the TV, you can stream Netflix, Viaplay, MAX, Prime, SVT and TV4 play. At the entrance and the hall towards the bedroom there is a spacious closet where you can hang up your clothes and place your things on several shelves. The wardrobe can accommodate weekend bags and cabin bags. There are also several hooks in the hall and bedroom to hang outerwear, etc. From the hall, you can reach the bathroom, which is spacious with a ceiling shower and folding shower walls, toilet and sink with a dresser. In the dresser, there is plenty of space to store your toiletries. Two towel dryers in the bathroom quickly dry your shower towel and swimwear. From the hall, next to the toilet, is the door to the separate bedroom. There are 4 built-in bunks, 90 cm wide. Thanks to the high ceiling height, there is full sitting height for an adult on the edge of the lower beds. The beds have real, quality spring bottoms and a thick bed mattress. The beds on one side are longer than normal, about 230 cm long, while the beds on the other side are a bit shorter than standard, about 170 cm. But in the corner where the beds meet, there will still be plenty of space for 4 adults to sleep without any problems. Each bed has a bedside lamp with a small table to put a phone and books. The bedside lamp also has a USB socket for charging the phone. There is an automatic cooling system installed. Set the temperature you want in the house. It provides a nice cool and good night's sleep for the whole family. Especially hot summer days. The guest house has its own patio with a large sofa, two armchairs, parasol, Weber charcoal grill and a wood-fired pizza oven. Barbecue utensils are available and accessories to light the barbecues. Under an old beautiful apple tree in the garden and in the shelter of a richly flowering hydrangea hedge, there is a dining table and chairs for 4-5 people. Guest access In addition to the guest house and its own patio, you have access to shared spaces such as swimming pool, jacuzzi, terrace, large dining area with pavilion and infrared heating. These spaces are shared with the host family when we are home. If we are away, you have completely free and private access to all facilities. Even if we are at home when you visit us, we would like to give our guests the opportunity to use these spaces privately. Then we can easily work it out. We want you to have a nice and memorable experience! In the garden, there is also a full-size ping pong table, an old-fashioned playhouse that is decorated like a shop, a swing and a trampoline to use when desired. In the playhouse, we place some extra toys based on the little guests who visit us. Since we ourselves have 3 children of varying ages, there is a lot of things for children and young people to enjoy. The playhouse is also a good storage space at night for, for example, a stroller. We are also happy to rent out our bikes. There are 4 bicycles in youth/adult size and 2 children's bicycles for varying ages and heights. We also have 2 stand-up paddle boards that you are welcome to use. Life jackets are available to borrow. The boards are easily carried down 100 meters to the lake/marina and it is a fun adventure to paddle around Gripsholm Castle or across the bay. Other things to note With us, the beds are made and ready when you arrive! We provide both shower towels and separate pool towels to our guests!
