Our cabin brings us great joy and we’re delighted to share it w/ others who enjoy cozy cabins. Perfect for those wanting to slow down & unplug. The Property — The cabin is located 4 min off of highway 80 for easy access. The house is nestled underneath beautiful cedar trees & sugar pines. Insta: @powerhousecabin The space Main lower level: The lower level has an open floor plan with kitchen, living room, and dining area all connected. The kitchen has been fully renovated top to bottom, a project we are very proud of! You’ll find access to cooking essentials, a coffee maker (and grinder), and toaster. There are two bedrooms with queen sized beds on the main level, with one full bathroom w/ walk-in rain shower. Upstairs main bedroom loft: Upstairs you’ll find a spacious main bedroom with queen sized bed and reading area. There is a half bath connected to this bedroom (toilet and sink only). Outside: There are two outdoor seating areas on the property. One off the front porch, where you’ll find two wood rocking chairs for relaxing. In the back of the property, there is a paved patio with outdoor dining table and 4 chairs, as well as an outdoor seating area with outdoor chairs and a chimnea. Please operate the chimnea with care, always tending to the fire and fully putting fire out after use. The town of Alta and surrounding areas: — the cabin is located in a remote area, so be sure to bring everything you need as there are virtually no stores in town (nearest grocery store is in Colfax - 15 min drive) — nearest activities: 10 min drive to nearest hike (Euchre Bar Trailhead), 10 min drive to town of Dutch Flat, 15 min drive to historical Colfax, 30 min drive to downtown Nevada City and Grass Valley, 45 min drive to Truckee — During holiday season, the Alta Christmas tree farm is in the neighborhood, offering a whimsical destination to get into the holiday spirit! It is family-owned, w/ a hot cocoa stand, bonfire pits, and a cute little holiday gift shop. Guest access Guest will have self-service access with a code provided prior to your stay. During your stay, we ask that you keep all doors locked and use the front door access code to come and go. Other things to note Please do NOT leave any trash outside during or after your stay. The cabin is in the mountains - and there are bears (rare) and raccoons (less rare) that will find food. All trash must be placed in trash bin in the garage.
