A good place to experience the beautiful town of Balingen in a relaxed way. The space The historic building was lovingly renovated by us in 2023 and converted into a cozy hostel. The seven rooms are simply equipped with bunk beds and reading lights. With six bathrooms with separate shower-toilet cubicle and a lounge with kitchenette, the hostel offers everything you need for an overnight stay. On the first floor, the restaurant dablju provides selected delicacies and delicious cocktails for your physical well-being. Our Altes Spital hostel is a cozy, small hostel in the middle of Balingen. Located in the trendy district of Südstadt, we are surrounded by cafes, restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool and of course the colorful Balingen nightlife. The city center of Balingen around the market square is within 5 minutes' walk. A good place to experience the beautiful town of Balingen in a relaxed way. Whether you are going to Hohenzollern Castle, Sigmaringen Castle, the Albtrauf hiking trails, biking on the Alb or planning a city trip - the hostel is perfectly located in the heart of Balingen for all destinations in the Zollernalb, Tübingen and Rottweil region. Guest access The lounge with kitchenette and the bathrooms are available to our guests 24 hours a day. Please pay attention to the night's rest of the other guests. Other things to note We do not have a reception on site - with code and key box, the arrival works stress-free at any time. Please ensure that you have enough time when booking so that I can review and confirm the booking. Ideally, you should book at least 24 hours before arrival. We do not have a reception or an elevator. Our cleaning cycle does not(!) take place daily. Bathrooms and the lounge are thoroughly cleaned once a week, toilets are cleaned several times a week and the shared rooms are cleaned once a week.
