Description

We have finished renovating it, the old farmhouse of my grandparents! And now we look forward to guests who want to spend time in the northern Uckermark in a village of 160 souls. We rent the entire upper level with an area of 200 m² and the large garden with many places to linger. If you want, you can also camp in the garden or park with the van or sleep in one of the construction trailers. The space The accommodation includes a large common room, a kitchen-living room, three bedrooms and other corners with a total of eight beds and two bathrooms. In the common room, everything is possible: workshops, living room, playground... It is little furnished and has plenty of space for yoga, meditation, lounging around, dancing, etc. But you can also roll up sofas and build a cinema with armchairs and pillows or create a kind of living room and sit in front of the stove in winter. And there is a gallery with a large mattress for two sleeping places or as a viewing area. Then there are three bedrooms: The meadow room goes out to the large meadow and has a large balcony and two single beds, which you can also push together. The courtyard room, which is on the side of the courtyard, consists of two levels, each with a 140 cm double bed at the bottom and on the gallery. The sheep room, which is located in the direction of the village sheep, also has two levels with a 160 cm bed at the bottom and a single bed at the top in the hideaway. All rooms are connected via the swing alley, where there is a sofa and from where you can climb onto the "bridge," where there is another sleeping place for people with good sleep or earplugs and a beautiful view to the east and west. The kitchen is equipped with everything that makes a kitchen and has a variable dining table for up to 12 people and a sofa corner. And the two bathrooms also serve their purpose. What else you can use: a yoga swing (aerial), gymnastics rings, projector + screen, flipchart, waffle iron, a disco ball (which projects magical dots on the walls), yoga mats, a few medical pillows, music systems in the kitchen and in the common room, a massage table. And then there is the garden with lots of seating, a tiny grove (15 trees...), hammocks, fireplace, etc., which you can best see in the photos. You are also very welcome to celebrate parties and/or use the place for events. The thing is, it's a quiet village and loud parties don't fit. But parties that don't go beyond the courtyard are great. The courtyard is located right next to the church, downtown, so to speak, in a very clean area on the light pollution map, where the lanterns go out at eleven and the starry sky is then quite impressive. There is little infrastructure here. A small farm shop, a playground, a mailbox and very occasionally a bus... Guest access The entire upper part of the house and the garden are part of the accommodation. Downstairs in the house we live as a shared apartment and are sometimes more, sometimes less there. So, you may have the yard all to yourself, but it may also be that 1, 2, 3 of us are also there. Since the entrances of the levels are on the opposite sides of the house and the outdoor area is well distributed, you don't get in each other's way (unless you want to). And I would say we are all really nice ;-) and not at all controlling, but rather keen that you can find and use everything that is there... Other things to note The cold months... The house is 100 years old and has never had central heating, but has always been heated with stoves. We have been racking our brains about how we can solve this more comfortably today, but the possibilities that exist do not provide a good/sustainable solution with regard to this house. That's why it's like this: You can heat the large room, the kitchen and the courtyard room with stoves and they will be cozy and warm. The other two rooms do not have stoves. Therefore: If you want to come in winter, bring warm pajamas and hot water bottles and move into the three heated rooms. And then... The farm is located in a very quiet village, where the sounds come almost exclusively from the birds and occasionally a few cars, agricultural machines or windmills, which is why it is important to us that, if you make music, it does not resonate beyond the farm.
