Cozy home with endless views on all sides of the house located on a private road with only a few neighbors. This is a single family home, not a guest house. Enjoy the ocean breezes, 20 min drive to Malibu, 25 minutes to Ventura Harbor, and 60 min to Santa Barbara. Beautiful view of the Channel Islands and Pacific Ocean starting in October. This home is about 1 hour from Los Angeles. The space This 1 bedroom / 1 bath home plus sun room is a secret gem in Camarillo Heights, Ventura County. Originally built in 1959 the primary residence of the McInnis Family, the host has carefully restored the home to its mid-century beauty. Situated on 1/3 of an acre, the house is in a private setting with only a handful of nearby neighbors. Fall asleep on the comfortable Aireloom queen bed to the city lights view or wake up to a view of the Santa Monica Mountains and Oxnard plains. The community has the perfect balance of being remote but close to the city. Often times, you will only hear the sounds of birds chirping away while playing in the California native garden. Don't be surprised to see a roadrunner or woodpecker. Enjoy reading a book in the sunroom with windows facing the view and garden. Note: There is a laundry area (washer/dryer/sink) accessible through a quaint walkway off the patio deck. Because of the rustic setting, you may see a small scorpion, a field mouse, and of course insects. A couple of times per year a scorpion finds itself into the house but the host has never had a problem with stings. The local high school mascot is Scorpions! Harmless spiders also sneak into the house but they are just trying to enjoy the beautiful view as well. Security/Alarm system included with home. Things to Note: - There are no window coverings or shades im the living room in order to maximize the view - The two aqua blue chairs pictured have been replaced with white chairs of a different style. Guest access Entire home except for the garage area is for the guests to enjoy. There are some locked cabinets in the bathroom that the host uses to store extra supplies. Other things to note This is the perfect get a way for two friends, family members, or a couple who wants to get away.
