Designed for two, it offers a simple, back-to-basics stay for guests who enjoy minimal living and being immersed in nature. The cabin features a double bed, an outdoor eco compost toilet, and a compact kitchenette for simple meals. Enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunset views over the water, spend your days exploring the farm and nearby waterfall, and wind down in the evenings with deep quiet and star-filled skies. The space Sugarbush Cabin at Waterfall Farm Welcome to Sugarbush Cabin at Waterfall Farm, a calm little A-frame set right on the edge of the dam in the wild Cederberg. It’s simple, small, quiet & designed for slowing down. Nothing fancy, just the essentials, open space & a whole lot of peace. Sugarbush is an adventure-style, back-to-basics stay, ideal for guests who enjoy minimal living and being immersed in nature. The Cabin • Double bed for two • Small kitchenette with fridge for simple meals (gas burner & kettle included) • Braai setup overlooking the dam • Outdoor eco compost toilet, set in its own small unit a few metres from the cabin for added privacy • Cold outdoor shower • No Wi-Fi at the cabin Facilities are intentionally simple, rustic & nature-based. On the Dam The cabin sits right on the water. Guests are welcome to use the paddleboard, especially in the early mornings or at sunset when the dam is at its most still. Connectivity There is no Wi-Fi at Sugarbush, allowing for fewer distractions. Mobile reception is generally good. If reliable internet is needed, the farmhouse is about a five-minute walk away and offers Wi-Fi in the co-working area. A nice balance between switching off & staying reachable if required. Around the Farm Waterfall Farm is a working citrus farm and protected nature space that still feels wonderfully wild. • Short walk to a natural waterfall with swimmable rock pools (approximately 10 minutes) • Stroll through orchards, open farmland & boulder landscapes • 45-minute trail to ancient Khoisan rock art tucked away on the property • Exceptional night skies and deep quiet after dark • Communal areas include a farm gym, hot tub, padstal & large communal braai area Wildlife & Nature The farm is full of life. Birdwatchers will be very happy here. You may spot klipspringer, grey rhebuck, duiker & on rare occasions, a caracal. As with any wild, rural environment, insects & spiders are part of the experience. Spiders found on the farm are harmless and non-poisonous. Nearby – Citrusdal • Oppi Hoek for good coffee & a friendly local stop • SPAR & TOPS for groceries & supplies • Spring flower season brings colour to the entire valley • Nearby rock art sites for a glimpse into local history A Place to Slow Down Sugarbush works beautifully for solo resets, couples or anyone seeking quiet time in nature.
