One-of-a-kind hideaway! The Mountain House casita is a private spot that offers a peaceful get away in the mountains above the Coachella Valley. Escape to our charming casita just 20 minutes from Palm Desert. The hideaway offers the perfect blend of tranquility, endless hiking trails & adventure. Enjoy spectacular views from the patios, fire up the BBQ for a delightful meal, watch the sunset with wine, take in the stars at night! Start your morning with complimentary breakfast options. The space Mountain House Casita is connected to the main house and has a private entrance. Casita is outfitted with Keurig coffee maker, Microwave, small refrigerator. You will be welcomed with chilled wine, beverages and complimentary cheeseboard and snacks. Happy Hour available upon request! We are NOT close to restaurants, but a quick 20 minute drive will take you to El Paseo or Idyllwild is a great option. Outdoor dining on the patio with a relaxing view of city below. Telescope and astronomical binoculars for sky watching as we are a dark community. Guest access You will have access to sitting/picnic area next to casita. Main patio outside eating area with BBQ access. Other things to note We are a high mountain community. At 4500 feet, the weather can change quickly. In the wintertime, make sure to pack accordingly. Keep in mind, there are no restaurants or supermarkets close by, so make sure to bring any food items that you enjoy. Make sure you have plenty of water or bottles for hiking. Heads up, getting an Uber or ride can be a challenge. Plan ahead for a tranquil and relaxing stay!
