The "Ca' Vegia", an ancient and historic residence, is located in the ricetto of the Castle of Casaleggio Boiro, the oldest in Monferrato, dating back to the year one thousand and famous for having been chosen as the Castle of the Innominate for the 1967 RAI screenplay "I Promessi Sposi". CIR:00603800004 The space The house, arranged on three floors, is ready to accommodate up to 3 people and consists of a kitchen and a double bedroom on the floor of the entrance door. An antique and characteristic staircase leads to a single bedroom. Downstairs there is a large living room and a spacious bathroom. The kitchen includes, in addition to the cooktop, a refrigerator with freezer, a microwave, a coffee machine with capsules included: cutlery, dishes, pots, pans, kettle, toaster and everything you need for cooking are available. In addition, everything you need for laundry is in the apartment: washing machine (detergents included), drying rack and clothespins, ironing board and iron. Bed linens and bath linens are fresh and clean and ready to welcome you. In the bathrooms you will find dispensers with soap and shower gel, a hairdryer, and toilet paper. Cots and high chairs are available for young guests. They must be requested at the time of booking as they are not usually present in the house. Everything in the accommodation is at your disposal and designed to make your stay pleasant. Respect and take care of it. Inside the house, you can admire a rich private collection of photographs of the screenplay "The Betrothed", taken during the filming, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the famous novel. Every corner of the house tells a story, allowing you to live a unique and fascinating experience. You can also walk within the same walls that hosted the scenes of one of the most famous RAI scripts, immersing yourself in the history and beauty of this enchanted place. During your stay you can enjoy the presence, next to the house, of animals such as roosters, hens and rabbits that will add a touch of authentic rural life to your experience. In particular, we make some recommendations: - Please be careful to separate the waste and, during and at the end of your stay, to deliver it to the appropriate private collection area. - You can use the pellet heating in the autumn-winter season, but do not forget to turn it off if you do not use it, when you keep the windows open, or when you are not at home. - gather the used linen and leave the kitchen in order (dishes washed and stored); - Smoking is prohibited in the house. We ask for the utmost respect for us and for those who will come after you: sit on the balcony overlooking the castle. You will find ashtrays in the kitchen cabinets. - Everything in the house is at your disposal, and it is strictly forbidden to use it outside the accommodation. Guest access You can use the apartment autonomously and independently. The apartment is entirely granted to guests. Other things to note We also remind you that under Italian law, minors (even if they have an identification document) cannot stay in an accommodation facility unless they are accompanied by a parent, or by an adult other than their parents. Upon your arrival, a copy of an identity document of all the guests of the house, including infants, will be requested in order to properly prepare the formalities and communications with the competent authorities. What to do during your stay Casaleggio Boiro is located at the gates of the Capanne di Marcarolo Natural Park, a protected natural area in Monferrato, whose paths and hiking trails are ideal for various trips and excursions in nature: on foot, on horseback, by mountain bike or by e-bike. The area is part of the mountainous area of the Ligurian-Piedmontese Apennines and within it is the massive Mount Tobbio. In the center of the village, one kilometer from our accommodation, you can find a grocery store, a newsstand/tobacconist, and a pedal-assisted electric bicycle rental with or without a tour guide. A few kilometers away are the Lavagnina Lakes (also reachable on foot thanks to the beautiful paths that start from our accommodation) surrounded by several small lakes in which, during the summer season, you can cool off and relax by taking a nice swim. Nearby you can visit beautiful villages rich in history and traditions such as Lerma, Montaldeo, Mornese, Parodi Ligure, Tagliolo Monferrato, and small towns such as Gavi, famous for its imposing and ancient Fort, and Acqui Terme, a famous spa town where you can admire, in the historic center, the remains of the Roman aqueduct at Piazza della Bollente where there is still a sulfur spring. For shopping lovers in Serravalle Scrivia, about 20 km away, you can reach the "Mc Arthur Glen Designer Outlet", where you can find, at really affordable prices, many clothing brands known all over the world. About forty minutes by car, accessing the A26 highway from the Ovada toll booth or the A7 highway from the Serravalle Scrivia toll booth, you can reach Genoa and the beautiful beaches of the Ligurian Riviera.
