Relax at this 3 bedroom country house for families or friends that would like to explore the Forest of Dean. Located on the border of England and Wales it’s a great location to enjoy the Forest ,Monmouth (4miles) and Herefordshire. The house has access directly into the forest perfect for walkers and very popular for mountain biking with tracks a 30 second free wheel away from the door. The forest has some fantastic old pubs and restaurants and is rated in the top 4 areas for biking in the UK The space The house is in a beautiful quiet street on a no-through road cul de sac with ample parking for any manner of vehicle , it offers a lovely view over a large field to the vast woodlands beyond . The rear aspect is not overlooked and sighted behind the 12th century church ,the time can often be heard chiming from the bells. The rear garden is a good size with a patio area and barbecue for the warmer months. The beautiful village of Staunton is very peaceful providing the character found in an English village with ancient trees and history dotted through the village. The local pub offers fabulous locally sourced home cooked food and great ales and is the first /and last pub in England with the border town of Monmouth in Wales situated 3 miles down the hill. In the spring/summer the forest comes alive nature is all around and days can be lost exploring the huge woodland directly opposite the property on foot or bike. In the autumn months the colours from the falling leaves light up the forest and blackberry picking can be found on the door step. The stunning viewpoint of Symonds Yat rock is a 5 min trip by car, easily accessible by bike and the attractions of the puzzle wood and Perry grove railway are favourites for any children. The house is in the middle of the countryside and there is no gas main to the entire village. The internet connection has been upgraded for the street and now offers secure unlimited high speed internet for the whole of the property . The central heating system is ran from the fire in the lounge so the fire needs to be lit for an hour before the heating comes on ,there are electric heaters provided in each bedroom should anyone feel the cold at night. The shower has also been updated to a Bluetooth enabled AKW model. Guest access Whole of house /garden . The side door allows access and secure storage of bikes etc.. Other things to note The property has been completely re-furbished with new carpets and beds . Inter net connection has been upgraded for the whole street and now offers an excellent high speed connection to the whole property. A travel cot is provided. The kitchen has an air fryer. Parking is very convenient for 2/3 vehicles and vans etc are not a problem.
