The small cottage has a loft, with a steep staircase up. A lovely mattress (+ mattress base) on the floor, the rain tapping on the roof and waking up in the morning, window open and picking a fig from the tree (seasonal). Downstairs is furnished with a wooden desk/dining table overlooking the vegetable garden and meadow. A small sofa with a table in front of the fireplace, art deco style. At the entrance, there is a small dressing table with mirror. It is small and cozy for a good night's sleep, and during the day it is a pleasure for writers and book readers, and for hikers a resting place for tired legs. With a small terrace outside for our guests to enjoy by the two fig trees and grape vines. The bathroom and toilet (96 steps) are in a different location on the property, as is the kitchen. At night, next to the small cottage, there is an emergency compost toilet so you don't have to walk far. A bit like at the campsite, there is no access to water in the petit pèlerin gite. A 2-person garden set, 2 sunbeds and umbrella are available for you here. Upon request, you can feed the sheep, watch the herd of horses, take a ride on the tractor, help in the vegetable garden, and take a walk through our own forest. We can also set up the swimming pool for a fee, prepare a picnic basket and/or a BBQ package/and set up the BBQ. And don't forget, if you want to have some food and drinks in the house on the day of arrival, we can also prepare this on request and for a fee. If something is not present in the gite or you are missing a kitchen item in the kitchen, then it may be that we have it in our house. Think, for example, of a blender or mixer or slippers because you have such cold feet. Our washing machine is also here, and for a fee, it can also be used. Right at the front door, you can join the hiking trail, three excellently preserved shepherd's huts, two granite crosses, a beautiful hydrological ensemble, and you will pass through a lush beech forest. Chavanat and its surroundings have a beautiful history. (the Gallo-Roman period of the 2nd or 3rd century). "Nature and Heritage in the Monts d'Ambazac" has mapped out more than 300 km of hiking trails, and if you take the smuggling route, you will end up on the Santiago de Compostella route. Besides hiking, electric biking, mountain biking, fishing and horseback riding, there are many activities and attractions nearby. A car is a must with us. Our own paradise cache consists of our house, the bungalow, the gite, the Pèlerin cottage, the exclusive tent place, 20 hectares of meadow and forest, the vegetable garden with the garden house "Cabane de potager," our sheep and horses and... Silence and tranquility in and with nature.
