Unique Big Spanish Mexican Hacienda House European

This home is loaded with everything one would need for a lovely stay including several sets of dishes, including china, even crystal stemware as well as regular glasswear. I just restored this home over the last 18 months. It is 3150 Square Feet and it is full of vintage furniture and unique artsy items. Of course we have a pool and central air. The pool is not suitable for diving or jumping into . It is an enjoyment pool with rafts, etc. Great for kids or cooling off from the Heat. The space There are two bedrooms on the main floor off of a shared hallway with a bathroom inbetween them which has a shower. They each have queen sized beds. They each have closets and nightstands and desks and various other furniture items and lamps, artwork and area rugs. The floors are solid oak hardwood. There are extra sets of linens and towels in the closet of each room. Each of these rooms has a desk and chair. There is a ceiling fan in each room. Each room has a full length mirror. The master suite is upstairs and it has its own ensuite bathroom, 2 walk-in closets, a queen sized bed and more. Also downstairs off of the kitchen is a large 4th bedroom (which used to be a family room back in the day.) This room has a California King Bed. There is a brick fireplace in the room as well as a washer and dryer. Both fireplaces in the home are decorative only as Bakersfield rarely allows wood-burning fireplace activity anymore and when they do, they designate a few days here and there. The kitchen has been fully restored with gray cabinets and granite counters as well as stainless steel appliances, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove and refrigerator. There is plenty of storage space for your food and other items. I have my own pantry in the kitchen to the right of the refrigerator which contains personal food and other private items in it. There are other pantries for your use. There is almost anything one could need with regarding to cooking, serving, entertaining, etc. If you can think of it, it is probably there. I have cleaning products for your use and will leave some toilet paper, paper towels, paper napkins, kleenex, hand soap, dish soap and laundry detergent for you. We only use natural detergent with no perfumes or dyes in the clothing washer. No tide or that sort of thing. Please use the laundry detergent we provide. There is a pass through window in the kitchen which connects to the large sun room with very high ceilings overlooking the pool and the backyard, bbq area, etc. There are alarms on both sets of the double doors leading to the swimming pool. There are 3 settings. One is Alarm, the 2nd is chime and the 3rd one is off. They will be on when you arrive. These are to notify anyone in the home, especially the adults, that someone has opened the door(s) leading to the pool area. In particular, this is essential when there are children staying in the home. There is a mini fridge outside in the covered patio area as well as a BBQ and a sink with plenty of countertop space. There is a back-up propane tank in the garage and one currently connected to the BBQ. The sunroom has a sink and a microwave in it and counterspace as well. The floors are Mexican Sautillo Tile. There are 2 Ceiling Fans in the Sunroom. I have lots of pool floats for your use as well as an electric pump to blow them up. They are in a large drawer outside to the left of the built in BBQ or some may already be blown up near the pool area. Please do not blow up all of the rafts that are new in boxes and packaging. Just what you need if there are none already blown up for you. There is a large rustic Table and Chairs in the covered area outside for dining as well as random chairs and tables and a very old Spanish Bench with pillows. There are 4 sun cots by the pool area and other chairs and benches. There is a gorgeous handpainted mural by the table and chairs out there too. Tons of vintage Talavera Tile everywhere as well as Talavera Pottery and Vintage Pottery in General all over the place. I love pottery. I have tons of serving trays and bowls in the kitchen cabinets. There is a set of fancy china, a set of ceramic dishes and even a large set of non-breakable gorgeous dishes by Nicole Miller for your use. They are great for outside use or for children. I have several 300 piece puzzles for children and several 1000 piece puzzles as well. There are a few games for your use, a basic art set and paper for the kids, children's books, coloring books, markers and more. There are outdoor lights and switches near the BBQ Area. There is a light for the pool behind the gate in the backyard where the pool equipment is located. The pool is refreshing and is approximately 5 feet deep at the deepest aspect with a set of steps for entry. The sun heats the pool and the water is warm in the summer. There is no diving in the pool as it is not set up for such use. Also, no running in the pool area for obvious reasons. Please abide by the safety signs posted by the pool area/in the backyard. This pool is suitable for rafts, sunbathing, cooling off and it is great for kids. The sunroom has a tropical themed rattan couch and chair as well as black leather and bent wood chair and ottomon as well as fun art everywhere. There is a large six seat dining room set in the sunroom. In addition to the sunroom, there is a front living room with a fireplace. Same deal on the fireplace. There are two occasional chairs and a table in front of the fireplace as well as a few other chairs and tables and art as depicted in the photos. Adjacent to the living room is the dining room which is off of the kitchen and it also has a large table and 4 chairs for dining and 2 more chairs will fit at the table (which we have available in the home.) There is a large Spanish Revival Family Room off of the Sunroom with a large leather sectional, pillows and throw blankets. There are several chairs and tables in there as well. There are some books in there and a 65 inch Roku Television with Spectrum Channels. The house comes with wireless internet of course. Please do not order pay movies or programs on my account. There is a ceiling fan in this room. There is a split unit airconditioning/heating unit in this room with its own remote control. The rest of the cooling and heating for the home is through the central air and heat system and the thermostat is in the dining room on the wall. This room leads to the garage. . There is a first aid kid in the kitchen pantry and a basic tool kit as well. There are 2 fire extinguishers downstairs in one of the upper cabinets in the sunroom. There is a 3rd fire extinguisher in one of the cupboards in the master bedroom. There are the appropriate smoke alarms in the home as well as the carbon monoxide alarms. There is a 2 car garage, and, the street is wide and there is ample parking for your vehicles on either side of the street. I do not think you will find another property for rent quite like this amazing home.The wifi code is on a paper under a magnet on the kitchen refrigerator. Please do not put food down the disposal, rather, please put it into/scrape it into the kitchen trash can. This prevents stoppages. Please take the black trash bin (located in the garage) out on Mondays for a Tuesday pick-up. It has to go on the opposite side of the alley or they will not pick it up. Please take out the blue recycle bin (in the garage) on Thursdays for a Friday pick up. Again, do not put it on our side of the alley. Put it across the alley against the neighbor's fence facing the alley. The window treatments are custom made cellular shades. Please lower and raise them from the control on the very bottom. You just push it and gently raise or lower it. Do not pull on the fabric aspect of the shades to lower or raise them as this can damage and soil them. They are cordless which is a great feature for families with children or pets. The front door porch light goes on and off by itself as do the 2 lights on the sideyard next to the bedroom with the brick fireplace. I have taped these switches in the on position. Guest access Film shoots and parties are extra. Please reach out if you would like to book a film shoot or have a party or a gathering. You may use the entire house and everything in it other than my personal food items or my personal belongings which are in one of the pantries or in cupboards in the room with the washer and dryer. I may have some other personal items of mine stored in the garage and in the garage fridge as well. Extra guests are allowed beyond 8 for a $40.00 fee per guest per day. Check with me first if you want to have a few extra guests. Other things to note Check out time is 11:00 a.m. and the housekeeper lets herself into the property promptly at 11:15 a.m., so please plan accordingly. If you wish to bring guests to the property, other than the registered guests, you need to ask me first. There is a fee per day for extra guests over the permitted allowed 8 guests. The fee is $40.00 per extra guest. There is a $50.00 fee per pet per stay with a maxiumum of 2 pets per stay. If you are hosting a party or want to do a film shoot, this needs to be worked out in advance and the specifics agreed upon. Extra charges are associated with such gatherings and event insurance may be required depending upon the number of guests and other factors. There are several coffee makers in the home as well as filters and a can of Coffee for your use. I will leave various Tea Bags, Hot Chocolate envelopes, individual Liquid Creamers, various Organic Spices, Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper, Sugar for you as well. I have a French Press as well if you provide your own coffee beans. I always leave complimentary snacks and bottles of water for my guests. I will leave liquid body soap/shower gel, lotion, bar soap, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposible razors, cotton balls, q-tips, toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, paper napkins (and we have cloth napkins in the house as well), Natural Laundry Detergent, Liquid Dish Soap, Dishwasher Pods, Cleaning Products including granite cleaner, stainless steel cleaner, trash bags, aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, various sizes of zipper Baggies, rubber gloves, notepads, paper, pens, pencils, erasers and other office items. The various cleaning products are located under the sink in the kitchen and under the sink in the sunroom. Please do not use chemicals on the hardwood floors if you are wiping up something. Just some water will work and then dry the area thoroughly please. Please use what you need but please do not take the left over complimentary toiletry, food items, office supplies or other complimentary items home with you (except the toothbrushes if you use them.) Please keep fresh foil on the tray for the toaster oven so it is easier to clean after use. There is a hairdryer in the downstairs bathroom as well as a flat iron for your use. I have 2 portable fans available in the home although there is central air and ceiling fans galore. I will leave extra linens in the bedroom closets for you. There are tons of dish towels in the kitchen. The kitchen cupboards are full of small appliances of every sort from a coffee grinder to a huge industrial smoothie type blender and a rice maker and so on and so on. We have fabric napkins for your use if you feel like being fancy. There are coasters all over the home and please use them and do not place glasses directly on the tables or furniture. Please use them for your beverages so as to not ruin the surfaces of the tables. I have lots of new puzzles and some games for your use and some books as well. The rafts and swim rings are in the drawer outside to the left of the BBQ. There is an electric raft pump in there as well. Generally the pool man comes on Tuesdays and the Gardener comes on Wednesdays and they let themselves in through the side gate. The drip system and the sprinker system are on a timer and they turn themselves on and off automatically. There is a cradle in the family room and a portable crib in one of the walk in closets in the upstairs bedroom. There are sheets on them. Please do not run around the pool area and do not let your children do so either as it is an obvious slip hazard. I am here for you. There is a separate unit in the large room with the leather couch for heating and airconditioning and a remote control for same. The thermostat for the rest of the home is located in the dining room area off of the kitchen on the wall. Should you need anything or if you have any questions, please reach out. Enjoy your stay.
