Mite View Cottage - between the fells & the sea

A charming one-bedroom cottage nestled on the scenic coast of Ravenglass, Cumbria. This quaint retreat offers a perfect blend of charm and modern comfort, providing an idyllic escape for couples or solo travelers. Located in a picturesque village known for its rich history and stunning natural beauty, our cottage is just a stone's throw from the beautiful estuary. Whether you're seeking a peaceful getaway or an adventure exploring the Lake District, our cosy cottage is the perfect base. The space We are proud to have built our charming cottage from the ground up. After purchasing Mite View Cottage in 2020, we spent the following 4 years lovingly renovating and crafting it into the cosy retreat you see today. David managed the renovation work, while Pamela brought her vision to life with the interior design. Our cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen with high-quality appliances, complete crockery, and a dining table that comfortably seats four. The adjoining open-plan living room features cosy sofas, a smart TV, a selection of books, and board games to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Upstairs, you'll find a beautifully designed shower room and a cosy bedroom with a double bed, lovely scenic views, and even a coffee station – perfect for starting your mornings with a latte in hand. To make your stay extra special, we brighten the cottage with fresh wildflowers and prepare a thoughtful welcome box for every guest. Outside, there is parking for one vehicle and a charming sandstone seating area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. There is an EV charger at the cottage available for use by our guests only. It is programmed to operate between midnight and 6:00am, so please feel free to plug in your vehicle during these hours. Please note that you will need to bring your own charging cable, as one is not provided. We’re also delighted to welcome up to two dogs at Mite View Cottage. There’s a dedicated doggy den inside the property, along with extra treats for your furry companions. For those muddy Cumbrian walks, we’ve provided an outdoor sink with hot water to wash your pooches. Please note there’s a small fee of £20 per dog, which can be added during booking & we ask that no dogs are allowed upstairs, there is a removable doggy gate provided to assist with this.
