Step into our green oasis and feel instantly at peace. Perfectly positioned on a quiet street in the heart of Carrington, enjoy the vibrant local community or use it as a base to explore Newcastle. Only 100m from cafes, pubs, eateries and shops; you'll feel like you’ll never need to leave. Stroll across the road, past the tennis courts, park & playground, and follow the live music to the fantastic community bowlo. The beach, CBD, Beaumont St and Darby St are all a short drive or cycle away. The space This airbnb is our home which we open up when we are away, so it is fully equipped for all your needs. We hope you love it as much as we do! As you enter, the hallway leads to two generous sized bedrooms, both with queen beds, ceiling fans and in-built wardrobes. The hallway opens up into an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, which flows seamlessly out onto a large deck - fully covered and with lights for enjoyment in all weather, day and night. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, dishwasher & gas cooktop, a range of appliances (air fryer, sandwich press, rice cooker, blenders etc), baking dishes, pots and pans. We have a separate drinks station with coffee machine, grinder, milkshake maker, blender and kettle. Attached to the the deck you'll find the laundry with sink and washing machine, and there is a a full sized clothes line on the side of the house. Out in the garden, there is a large shed overlooking the garden; and it functions as a separate study space. This is a great place to escape if you need to have a moment to get some computer work done - there is a large sitting-standing study desk with power, lights and fans. Once you’ve settled in, take a moment to stroll around all that Carrington has to offer - you can wander down to the river (or partake in the popular m Newcastle Park Run on a Saturday at 8am), go for a kayak (kayak & 2 life jackets provided), have a hit of tennis, run around at the playground and park, or enjoy uninterrupted water views as you walk or cycle to queen street wharf, Nobby’s beach (2 bicycles provided for your use) on a protected walkway, or anywhere else you want to explore! There's no shortage of places to eat and drink. There are a number of excellent family-friendly pubs, cafes, a gin distillery, Oyster Bar, Bakery, Japanese Grocer & Eatery are a few options within walking distance. Just across the bridge in Wickham (approx 1-2km away) you’ll find the Newcastle Yacht Club, Uprising Bakery, delicious Sourdough pizza at Masa Madre, mouth watering Thai at Sticky Rice Thai, or a fancy hatted restaurant at Flotilla. A few minutes drive away you can explore dining districts Beaumont Street (Hamilton), Honeysuckle, Darby Street (Cooks Hill), King Street (Newcastle). We are approximately 10 minutes drive from Nobby's Beach, Newcastle Beach and the Newcastle Ocean Baths, Bar Beach, Dixon Beach and Merewether Beach & Ocean Baths. We are close to the Newcastle interchange, making travelling from Sydney via train very easy. Guest access The whole house is yours to enjoy.
