Description

Managola is an ancient farmhouse among trulli and olive groves in the center of the Itria Valley. Along the Apulian Aqueduct cycle path, a few hundred meters from Managola, you can immerse yourself in a timeless rural and architectural landscape. The 40-square-meter suite and the farmhouse have been restored in keeping with the "genius loci". Immersed in silence at a slow and relaxed pace, you will be welcomed by a simple and informal family atmosphere that winks at art and design. The space The "trullo" accommodation consists of 2 rooms plus the bathroom and measures 40 square meters with independent access from the square shared with our home. Upon entering, you will find yourself in the large living room characterized by the presence of several "niches" (spaces obtained in the great thickness of the stone walls for storing objects), one of which is arched. A working fireplace covered in ceramics with a Carrara marble shelf was instead used for cooking prior to our purchase of the house. The largest niche houses a bookcase, the espresso coffee machine and the refrigerator. A comfortable mid-century day bed in restored teak wood, a unique coffee table in Persian travertine and burnt wood created by the designer homeowner, and the desk make this room cozy. From the living room you enter the bedroom in the ancient trullo of the house; here the lower part of the walls has been left bare stone while the white lime plaster highlights curved lines and arches of the incredible internal architecture of the cone, enhanced by the presence of several "niches" (spaces obtained in the great thickness of the stone walls to store objects), one of which is arched.
