Welcome to Perrywinkle Cottage located on Quadra Island. Your home away from home on our rural property. We invite you to experience the tranquility and natural surroundings of our forested 5 acre property. The cottage is equipped with all you need for a wonderful getaway. Four beds, fully equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining rooms, a book shelf for all ages and a farm with chickens and goats to explore. A forest trail down the road leads to the beach overlooking the coast mountains. The space Your cottage is waiting on beautiful Quadra Island. Perrywinkle Cottage is a fully equipped home on a five acre rural property. The spacious master bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second bedroom has three single beds. All linen is provided including bath and beach towels. The kitchen is equipped for meal preparations and the dining room seats six or more comfortably. The full bathroom, located on the main floor, includes a tiled walk-in rain shower. Upstairs in the master bedroom you will find a claw foot bathtub for your soaking pleasure. Guests have described the decor style as casual French country with a touch of quirk. We have lived on Quadra Island since 2005 and enjoy living rurally. Our neighbourhood consists of small acreages and hobby farms. A forest walk that lead s to the beach is another nice neighbourhood perk. Quadra Island has many wonderful hiking trails and the roads are a joy for cycling. The two commercial centres on island provide all the services you need including grocery stores, quaint restaurants, medical clinic and banking services. Many artists live in our midst and are welcoming to visitors who want to learn about theIr work. A map is available to help find these hidden gems. Guest access Guests have use of the entire cottage and are welcome to explore the farm visit with the goats and wander the forested acreage. Other things to note Here are a few things you might like to know about the cottage and property... We try to recycle and compost as much as possible. If you want to compost there is a bucket under the sink in the kitchen. There is recycling bin in the front hall closet. Let us know if any of these need emptying during your stay. Please only flush toilet paper and bodily fluids down the toilet. Anything else can upset the septic tank. Definitely not something you want to experience on vacation. The in-floor heat is on now. If additional heat is required the wall heaters can be turned on individually. There is a heater in the living room, in the master bedroom behind the door, and in the second bedroom that can be turned on if it gets chilly. Bliss Farm is home to chickens, a Muscovy duck, goats and Raf our chocolate lab. Our goats, Pixie, Cleopatra, Lizzie, May, and Buzz are Nigerian dwarf goats. If you want to meet any of the animals just let us know and we will introduce you safely. We usually have farm fresh eggs we are happy to share with you.
