A bright, single room with large fridge overlooking garden away from road. Blackout curtains, spacious wardrobe, dimmable bedside light with inbuilt phone charger, smart TV, & dedicated workspace. On street permit parking supplied. 25 min walk to Bath city. 4 min walk to shops, cafes, pubs, takeaways & restaurants Nearby buses to centre, university & hospitals. 8 min walk to Oldfield Park train stn. 2 min walk to 2 tunnels cycle path & the Moorfields gastro pub. No kitchen/ laundry facilities The space This bright comfortable newly decorated room has a single bed with a deep pocket sprung mattress, hotel quality pillows and Egyptian cotton bed linen. The toilet, wash hand basin and shower are just outside the room in a small beautifully decorated bathroom. There is a good sized pine wardrobe with 2 large drawers, a desk with 3 small drawers and 2 further drawers under the bed. The double glazed window is covered with a black out blind and looks out onto the back garden and back lane. The bedside light is dimmable and has an inbuilt phone charger. There is a remote controlled TV on the wall, a hairdryer and a full length mirror. A large fridge which is for your sole use is in the empty bedroom directly next to the bathroom. A selection of individually wrapped teas, coffees, biscuits, freshly filtered water and UHT milk portions are also supplied. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are supplied in the bathroom and a further large mirrored cupboard with a first aid kit, shower cap and tissues. A guest information book containing lots of recommendations, menus, local attractions, maps and books on the local area is also available. Furthermore there is an umbrella stand in the hallway with a selection of umbrellas to use if required. Guest access You will have access to the single room which is located on the first floor up one flight of stairs (13 steps). You will also have access to a shared bathroom with w/c outside the room. This may be shared with one or two other guests from an Airbnb double room located on the same floor on the opposite side of the house, if this double room has been booked. To access the shower requires you to be able to step over into the bath so this may not be suitable if you have mobility issues. You will also have access to a large fridge in the empty bedroom next to the bathroom. This bedroom is used as a store room. You may not use or have access to anything else in this room. My husband and I live here and have own separate toilet and bathroom. Your single room and shared bathroom can be securely locked. During your stay A detailed guest information pack is available in your room which includes recommendations for various local restaurants and attractions, transport links, emergency contact numbers etc. l can be contacted via the Air B and B message page. Other things to note Not suitable for infants or children under 5 due to recent fire regulations / fire risk assessment stipulating fire escape route must not be blocked by stair gates/ travel cots. Maximum number of guests is one. The stairs are outside the room over a short landing and are lit by night lights. Not suitable for guests with severe mobility issues as the room is located on the first floor up 13 stairs. Potential guests need to ensure they can mobilise along the landing and down 13 stairs across the hallway to the emergency exit (front door) in the case of a fire before booking. Also guests need to ensure they can easily step over the bath into the shower. No clothes washing/ drying facilities available but host can give you details of laundrettes in the area. Bathroom not to be used for washing / drying clothes in as it’s a shared space with other Airbnb guests. Permit parking is in operation so if you are bringing a car please provide your car registration beforehand to enable me to register you to park. Parking costs are included in the cost of your stay and you are covered to park from 3pm on your arrival day until 11am on your departure day.
