The Sunday Sleep-Inn (2025 Best New Host finalist)

Enjoy a relaxing stay in the stunning bayside suburb of Shorncliffe, 17 kms north of Brisbane CBD. The ‘Sunday Sleep-Inn’ is a spacious self-contained studio situated on the ground floor of our renovated Queenslander home. We keep the door locked between the studio and the house and there are no shared areas. There is private external access and ample street parking. Surrounded by natural beauty, with parks and waterways on our doorstep and a 10 min. walk to Shorncliffe train station. The space This fully air conditioned private space has a queen bed, bathroom, lounge and dining area, wall mounted TV including Netflix and some kitchen facilities. This includes a good size fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, electric cook top, pots, cutlery and crockery. Some breakfast items are provided including plunger coffee, tea, sugar, milk, cereals and filtered water. Note: our studio does not contain an oven, sink, dishwaher, washing machine or dryer. There are some local dining options within walking distance and the local Sandgate Village is only a few minutes drive away, which has a 24/7 laundromat. Our space is mainly set up for short term stays. For stays of 3 nights or more, dirty dishes may be left at the front door and will be replaced on a daily basis. Fresh linen and towels will also be made available. A king single inner spring floor mattress (suitable for adults or children) can be made up on request. Crimsafe screens and privacy blinds are on all windows. The studio has newly installed split system air conditioning. You are welcome to gently use our old piano, we also have bikes and kayaks available on request. Guest access You will have a fully private entrance to this space, located at the right side of the house (behind the letterbox) on the ground floor. There are no stairs into the studio. You can use our driveway to access the studio front door. There are pavers out the front (beside our letterbox) for easy access in and out during your stay. Other things to note As we live upstairs, we will always try to keep noise to a minimum, however there may be times you hear footsteps due to the wooden floor boards. The house is renovated with steel bearings between floors so we expect noise to be minimal.
