Description
Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base. The bunk room sleeps 4 people in 2 separate bunks and is ideally situated for walkers, cyclists and small families or groups vising the Peak National Park. We are next to the river Wye, 200 yards from the Monsal Trail and Limestone Way, but there are so many beautiful walks straight from the door and villages to explore that you will be spoilt for choice. We have a fantastic real ale village pub just 2 minutes walk away. The space We have 4 beds in 2 separate adult sized bunk beds. The listing is for sole use. Bunk rooms are great budget accommodation and give the the opportunity to book one room for up to 4 people, so sharing the cost. Bookings are only through Airbnb. ***PLEASE NOTE - PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WASHING TOWELS AS THESE ARE NOT PROVIDED. I DO NOT KEEP ANY SPARE I'M ARFAID*** Fridge and kettle are provided, along with tea, coffee and sugar. Cutlery is provided in case you want to bring food with you, but please be aware, there are no cooking facilities. Some guests bring pots of instant porridge for breakfast and instant soup and pot noodles for snacks. You can find quite a few foodie bits that only need boiling water. However, we have a brilliant real ale pub 2 minutes walk away; The Anglers Rest. They serve good pub food, but they do get busy, so best to book. There is also a cafe - The Cowshed - at the top of the hill. Local shops, including a Co-Op are in Tideswell, a 10 minute drive away. There is a shower room for sole use of the bunk room, and a drying area for damp coats and boots. You are welcome to use our river garden opposite the house, and sit and have a drink while the sun goes down. Guest access The bunk room is self contained and the shower room is next to it. Access is through the main house. You are welcome to use our river garden, patio area and tumbling garden which is built into the rockface. During your stay I am likely to be at home most evenings, so if I am around, please stop for a chat. If you need me when I'm not at the house, please message me. Other things to note We hope you enjoy your stay. Miller's Dale gets very busy at peak times of the year, with lots of people walking or cycling the Monsal Trail 5 minutes walk from the house. But people visit because it is a beautiful part of the world. So, it's advisable to book if you want a meal at the pub, and just allow a bit more time if you are planning to visit Bakewell, Buxton or Chatsworth as there are often queues of cars wanting to do the same thing. There are beautiful walks straight from the door, so feel free to ditch your car and take a local walk. You'll find stepping stones, Mandarin ducks and 3 viaducts all within a 15 minute walk from the house. We live in a conservation area and a site of special scientific interest.
