Nestled just minutes from Queanbeyan /Canberra/Airport our retreat is a clean, cosy, and budget-friendly. Our Holiday Cottage is kept extra clean and tidy, with minimalist furnishings for a homely feel. Light cooking facilities (please note, this is not a full chef’s kitchen). Essentials such as Wi-Fi, portable heating, heated blankets, cooling.... all included to make your stay Comfortable-as little retreat, not a hotel or resort. Note: lot of extras can be provided with request and extra cost The space The house is located on the Old Cooma Road, 5 min away from Queanbeyan. Nestled minutes away from town and Canberra, this retreat house is a private oasis of serenity. A foot away from the nature reserve, sit back and enjoy the serenity of the hills or put up your sneakers and walk the tracks around. On one side, the picnic area with its extensive lawn, two ponds and decked shed is picturesque. On the other side, go down the river through the pine wood and find your way back! This is an eco-friendly property with its own eco-sewage and rainwater system, please be aware and respectful of this environment to help the planet! Entering the house through the SUN ROOM, you will then enter the luminous LIVING/DINING ROOM with an open kitchen. On the other side, the DECK TERRACE is large with relaxing chairs to enjoy the quietness and the view. A PLAYGROUND AREA with a slide on a tiny house completes the picture. Cosy sofas, TV, convenient tables and big windows will make you feel at home. The DINING ROOM overlooks the nature reserve through plenty of windows. The wooden dining table is comfortable for 6 to 8 seaters. The bright open KITCHEN has a good bench space, an induction cook top, a fridge, a microwave and copious storage. Cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils as well as tea, coffee and condiments are provided for guest’s use. The LAUNDRY includes a washing machine, an iron and a sink at guest’s disposal. The tiled BATHROOM is with a shower, mirror and bench. The toilet is adjacent with natural light. Towels, soap and shampoo are provided. You will appreciate the countryside serenity, living on the edge of the town. The property is part of a Nature Reserve; you might come across kangaroos and local fauna. Do not be scared, they are our closest neighbors. Entrance: The property covers 3 hectares. Driving speed is max 10km/h. Guests occupied only the main house and are not allowed in other buildings. Guests are welcomed to enjoy the nature, the gardens around the property down to the ponds or the forest. Parking: The most convenient parking is located opposite the living room on the gravel; please do not park on the grass. Other things to note Smoking is only allowed outside, not in the house or bedroom.
