Cozy accommodation perfect for hiking & northern lights

Description

The house is close to everything. You can reach the ferry, the helicopter pad, the island's nice grocery store & the local pub within a 20-minute walk. But above all, you have a great starting point for fantastic hikes & the Northern Lights. We have owned the house for four years and have been here for shorter periods but now we have moved here to work with adventure. We have three 3-bedrooms to rent out. Two double rooms and a family room for four. So if you like nightlife, you might be living with like-minded people and if you want some nice tips - just ask. Welcome🥾🇳🇴🗻😍 The space If you come as a guest, we can rent out additional rooms. Otherwise, you will only share a bathroom and kitchen with the host, except during the high season. During peak season, there is a possibility to come back after check-out time to pick up luggage and use the kitchen and toilet downstairs Downstairs there is a large kitchen you can use and a refrigerator for groceries. There is also a lunch table. The living room functions as a dining "lounge" and has an open floor plan with a living room/community room. There is also a cozy reading and lounge room with two armchairs that are also the place for watching the northern lights. The host also lives on the ground floor (often outside and in his own room). The guest rooms are on the second floor. The house currently only has a smaller toilet downstairs and a larger bathroom upstairs. Large garden, where in the back, there is a nice space for breakfast and dinner and here you also have access to the barbecue. On the front side, in the summer, there are three large hammocks to take nice power naps or just read for a while. Just borrow freely. The house is of simple standard from the early 1900s but we think it's very cozy and many think it's like Pippi's famous Villa Kulla. We run a heat pump with air conditioning if needed in high summer heat. There is also access to fishing equipment (NOK 100 - per day) and lots of tips about fishing in high and low water. There is a great chance for fine edible fish (Self-cost on drag). As a host, I want you to be able to be here all year round and get it and work well with the ferry traffic and therefore I have very generous check-in and check-out times throughout the Norwegian period Guest access You will have the entire villa for yourselves except for the host's private room. I also share the kitchen, bath and toilet, but otherwise I am out or in my room. If you take a late ferry from the island, you can also use the house's kitchen, living room and toilet after check-out. During your stay I am out a lot but am there for your possible questions or with tips and tricks about Værøy, at least every morning and evening. I sometimes drive guided tours on other assignments (nice day trips) and if you want to come along for an extra cost (SEK 750), that's fine. If you are traveling alone and want some board game company... just ask. Other things to note In the Northern Lights season, we have large windows in 360 degrees and a perfect location for comfortable viewing of the Northern Lights. Here there is a lot of midnight sun and a house with a lot of light, so we recommend bringing your own sleeping mask even if the room has blinds.
