Description

The cabin is located in the middle of the nature just 50 meters from the sea. It is a 20 minute hike to get to the cabin, and it is completely undisturbed. Here you can enjoy nature, the sea, the horizon and the silence. The view is exceptional almost everywhere you look. Cozy up inside the cabin, or take your fishing rod and see if you get lucky throwing from the rocks. Enjoy the sunshine or admire the wild stormy ocean. This is a perfect place to relax away from everyday life. The space The cabin itself is simple, almost primitive. It has two bedrooms with bunk beds, a combined dining room and kitchen and a small livingroom with a sofa bed. In addition, a toilet and a small entrance. The cabin is heated by a wood stove. Cooking takes place on the two gas burners. The dishes are taken in a tub on the kitchen counter (or outside if the weather is nice), and you collect water in the tank that collects roof water behind the cabin. A small solar panel provides power for lighting. This is cabin life for those who like the simple life close to nature. But even if the cabin is simple, you have everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the proximity to nature is the real luxury. The area around the cabin: Telavåg is a historical place from the Second World War and you can discover more about this at the North Sea Museum, which is located on the road to the cabin. During the Second World War, this place was a starting point for the North Sea shipping, where Norwegian resistance fighters or others who were persecuted fled to Shetland. 10 minutes' walk from the cabin is the "Fiskesleppet" climbing field with climbing routes for both beginners and experienced climbers. A little further away in a southern direction is also the Bekhilderen climbing field with slightly more challenging routes. There are great opportunities for fishing in the ocean if you like it. Bring a fishing rod :) If you have a kayak, it's a nice trip (in good weather!) from Glesvær to the cabin. Lots of nice places to paddle, but check the weather forecast, the ocean can be rough with lots of waves since the Atlantic is right in. Guest access Entire cabin. Other things to note From the car park it is 20 minutes to walk on nice paths to the cabin. You must wash and clean the cabin yourself after your stay. We have practical equipment for this available in the cabin. We prefer that you bring your own bed linen. But if you do not have the opportunity to do this, you can rent bed linen. It costs NOK 150 per set. The toilet is a separation toilet There is no shower in the cabin.
