The Grotos Grove is a destination by itself and serves a very convenient base of operations to experience the regions many activities/events with Blue Valley and Barrel Oak Vineyards only ¼ mile away.   The house was completely restored in 2017 with large modern kitchen, and 3 full baths and 2 half baths;  2 master bedrooms, 2 bedrooms and a loft. The space         The Grove is located in Delaplane where John Marshall, the former United States Supreme Court Chief Justice who grew up at Oak Hill Mansion next door. The Grove was actually built by John Marshall for his sister.  The town of Marshall (just five minutes away) is named after the former Chief Justice. The historic and popular towns of Middleburg, Warrenton, Paris and Upperville are all easy 15-20 minute drives.   The Grove can truly be your home away from home with all the comforts and quality, no more hotels who are regular visitors to the area! Please note that the Grove is located near I66 traffic can be heard. The house is quiet with it's stone walls. The positive is that you are just off the service road and fast travel to the vineyards and town of Marshall and great for cyclists as you are immediately along one of popular routes according to Potomac Pedalers.          Fauquier County is among the finest horse country in Virginia. Some of the most beautiful farms in the county are nearby. The Orange County hunt, sometimes comes in sight of the town when hunting foxes. It is not uncommon to see horse trailers and vans parked on Main Street of Marshall. Hounds and horses abound in this area.  However it is also a great place for writers, actors politicians and other well known people to live quietly and anonymously.   As a result, there are many new restaurants and local butcher’s, bakers and markets establishments to enjoy year round.       In addition the home sits on 10 private acres to include a nice hiking/running trail around the perimeter.  The kitchen and the dinning area are designed for great gatherings and there’s a nice patio out the side to enjoy the agricultural setting of the area and boasts a nice fire pit.  The large high ceiling living room is perfect for events such as private recitals, acting and story telling and yes even watching sporting events on TV.  The famous round room offers another quite place for discussion and reading.
