Description

Revisit the vintage charm of the 1950s with up to 10 guests! Nestled adjacent to Fall River, The Homestead offers cozy convenience (#3416). Spread across three levels & minutes to downtown and Rocky Mountain National Park, this log cabin features a full kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace, 4 bedrooms, 7 beds, & a large deck for relaxing. + Central locale + Fishing access on the HOA + A/C + 7 beds (1 K, 2 Q, 4 T - all new as of 11/25) + Foosball + 2 big smart TVs + Fireplace Great for families! The space *** IMPORTANT THINGS *** Funky Ceilings: Note that the upstairs has angled ceilings so watch your heads if you venture too close to edges of the rooms. Location: The house is a few minutes from the National Park entrance in a small HOA of other cabins with grassy lawns and river access. It's just off US34, a 2 lane road leading into the park. It's not a cabin in the middle of the woods, but it's got a *super* convenient location. House Rules: Check in at 4pm or later; check out at 10am or earlier. No smoking. Last, the cleaning fee is lower than about 2/3 of other units this size because guests start a load of dishes and towels on checkout. The savings is passed on to you. If you are bringing a dog, please add to the dog guest count. There is a non refundable pet fee of $150. ****************************** Just a few minutes north of downtown you’ll find The Homestead, an authentic and charming 1950s vintage log cabin. It underwent a floor to ceiling remodel in October of 2024, complete with a modern eco-friendly mini-split HVAC system with air conditioning. It’s ready for you, your family and friends. Enjoy mornings and evenings on the back deck watching wild turkeys, deer and elk meander along the bank of Fall River, just across the parking lot. The National Park boundary is only a few miles away -- animals are everywhere. The location can't be beat! You can walk to the nearby Wapiti Pub, or take a quick drive to downtown for dinner. Or, just head up Highway 34 to the National Park entrance; you’ll be there in a few minutes. If you just want to relax, you’ve picked the right place! There’s a grill and picnic table on the front porch, as well as a spacious back deck. Inside you’ll find lots of chairs and sofas to sink into — either in front of a fireplace or one of two smart TVs. The main floor features a kitchen with a small attached breakfast table, a full bathroom, a queen bedroom, and an open dining/living area. There’s a den at the landing on the second floor with a big smart TV, and a basement foosball table. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside, and outdoor fire pits are now prohibited in all vacation homes in Estes Park. Charcoal BBQs are also banned, but our gas grill and indoor wood fireplace allowed. ROAD CONDITIONS Estes Park has a fantastic snowplow crew, and our driveway will be cleared during snowstorms. However, in the event of a major blizzard, the roads and driveway may not be plowed exactly when you need them. We’re unable to offer assistance if you get stuck, so we always recommend guests rent an AWD or 4WD vehicle when visiting from October to May. Our home sits at 8,000 feet in a region known for heavy snowfall! GUEST LIMIT Our permit allows a maximum of 10 guests including infants and children BEARS Never leave food in your car! Bears are common in the area and can break into vehicles. SECURITY We have a Minut smart home monitor that alerts us to any potential parties. It tracks noise levels and temperature to help protect our home and neighborhood.
