Our guesthouse is located in Kyoto’s traditional Higashiyama district. While the renovation preserved the original wooden machiya structure, we have also equipped it with modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. We hope you will enjoy an authentic, comfortable, and serene Japanese experience - just like staying in a true Kyoto home. The space From the guesthouse, it takes just 4 minutes on foot to reach Tofukuji Station (JR Line & Keihan Line), which is only one stop away from Kyoto Station. A 2-minute walk will also bring you to the Sennyu-ji Michi bus stop, providing easy access to all major sightseeing spots in Kyoto. By taking the Keihan or JR lines, you can also visit many of Kyoto’s hidden gems - beautiful yet less crowded locations - as well as travel conveniently to Osaka, Uji, and Nara. Within just over a 10-minute walk, you can reach historical landmarks such as Sanjusangendo, the Kyoto National Museum, and Tofukuji Temple, allowing you to easily immerse yourself in Kyoto’s cultural charm. In the surrounding area, within a 1 - 5 minute walk, you will find 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Daily convenience stores, 24-hour supermarkets, and a wide variety of restaurants, including Kyoto cuisine, yakitori, ramen, izakaya, tempura, takoyaki, bakeries, and matcha dessert cafés. Both sightseeing and daily life here are extremely convenient. This two-story wooden Machiya offers about 78㎡ of private space for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, tableware, and basic seasonings, inviting you to enjoy cooking authentic Japanese meals. Bathrooms and toilets are available on both floors, making it convenient for families with elderly members or groups of friends. Other things to note Children under the age of 6 are free of charge, only one child is limited, and the second and subsequent children need to be charged for each person.
