The Illinbah Farmhouse

Welcome to our Illinbah Farmhouse, set at the foothills of the Lamington National Park, only 50 minutes from the centre of the Gold Coast and spans across 35 acres of lush, beautiful bushland. The homestead is over 100 years old and has been renovated and brought back to life, whilst keeping its country charm - fabulous for romantic getaways, families and groups of friends. Explore the beautiful valley, walking tracks and vineyards - attend weddings, local events, concerts or simply relax. The space Located at the very end of Illinbah Road in a quiet, rural part of the Lamington National Park, only 50 minutes' drive from Broadbeach, Gold Coast. The property is private, with established well maintained gardens and on-site parking. For larger groups there is also Illinbah Valley Cottage located nearby if you have more than 8 guests. The Cottage houses 7 people on the same property with a separate entrance and is 200m away not visible from the farmhouse. Beautifully appointed, the cottage features three bedrooms, one king bed, one queen bed and two sets of bunk beds (four single beds). One generous size bathroom includes a double shower. The large, open lounge room has a 65-inch Smart TV - the perfect spot to put your feet up, watch a movie, read a book, or play board games. The large central dining area has an 8-person dining table and is connected to a spacious and well-equipped kitchen with an indoor cast iron freestanding gas stove and oven. The kitchen overlooks the private gardens, a large undercover patio. The outside gardens offer privacy with a large hedge and the perfect space for alfresco dining, to enjoy a morning coffee in the sun or afternoon sundowners, play bocce or simply relax. There is also a children's outdoor play area with a slide, monkey bars and treehouse. There is also an outdoor children kitchen play area with picnic table. In addition to these spaces, there is also a small back patio with a table enabling those who need to 'work from home' whilst away, a quiet space. There is also a large separate laundry room with washing machine, dryer and detergents supplied. Your only neighbours are the friendly donkeys, ponies and cows, who will be sure to come and say hello. You have a private garden at the back of the Cottage where you can enjoy a morning coffee or late afternoon drink, whilst gazing out over the surrounding paddocks. The house is fully fenced off from any animals but feel free to take a stroll in the paddock and chat with our neighbours cows, donkeys and ponies. They are very friendly, although they do love people, they are often can be timid. We do ask that you make sure to leave any gate how you find it. If closed ensure to close it if open leave it open. Please always supervise small children, as there is also a creek in the lower paddock, and this is unfenced. Guest access The Illinbah Farmhouse has a private entrance through the large gate. Parking available - please be mindful of the grass and where possible please park on the concrete in front of the shed Please be mindful there are stairs at either entrance to the home. Self-check-in Key Safe - pin provided the day of check in. Other things to note The Illinbah Farmhouse is located 15 minutes from the closest shops. The town is called Canungra. The house is quite isolated so you will need to keep this in mind when catering. You will not have phone service for the last few kilometers leading into the farm. Once you are there Wi-Fi password will get you connected ASAP. Please keep water usage to a minimum as we are on tank water only. No shoes are permitted inside the property. Gas hot water. Please refrain from putting anything other than toilet paper down the toilets. The cottage is on septic. Remember to keep doors to the cottage closed as this is to ensure no animals or insects enter the home and to keep you safe. The Canungra IGA is open daily from 7am till 8pm. Canungra also has a petrol station, a pub and a number of cafes. If you drive a Tesla or electric vehicle the closest charger would be Canungra Hotel. A list of activities in and around the local area can be found on the local social pages but can also include: Local Golf Course. Local Canungra markets are on the second Sunday of each month.
