Once a small barn built in 1850, the gîte now offers all modern comforts including a fully equipped kitchenette, a recently renovated walk-in shower and separate toilet. The property includes a private garden with BBQ and fire pit and a separate entrance. To ensure you have a comfortable start, the house is already stocked with some coffee, tea, and essential supplies. With board games, Netflix, and wifi, you can stay entertained and connected. Toys included to entertain children. We also offer seasonal packages to entertain children: in autumn, a Halloween treasure hunt and creative crafts; in spring, a nature fun package for families to explore, learn, and play together; and during Easter, a joyful Easter Egg Hunt. No need to overpack for the kids—we’ve got baby and toddler essentials covered. The cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms with mountain view from both bedrooms and versatile zip-and-link beds. Curl up in front of the wood stove, the fire wood is included in the price as are the linen, towels, essential toiletries, hair dryer, and an iron. Just a 15-minute down drive to Foix, you’ll find all amenities such supermarkets, restaurants, summer events and the weekly market. The region is rich in history with prehistoric caves, medieval sites, and the famous Montségur reminding of the last stand of the Cathars. On Prat d’Albis mountain itself, you can enjoy hiking, cycling, or paragliding. In summer, expect a few curious cows or horses on the road up, and the first to welcome you will probably be the sheep in the neighbouring farmer’s fields. Gather chestnuts and listen to the deer’s slab in autumn. Watch out  for the shy wildlife like deer, wild boar, and falcons.
