Hello and welcome to Hillside Haven! Hillside Haven is a quaint 2 bedroom house in the lush Northern Rivers - With a picturesque view on a five acre bush block, it's just an 8 min drive to colourful Nimbin town, the founding location of the Aquarius Festival. It's the perfect getaway location if you need to relax, be amongst the rainforest and be serenaded by the local birds. The space Hillside Haven includes a shaded deck with automatic blinds to block out the Summer heat, as well as an outdoor firepit, fenced paddock for your furry family members, and our miniature cows Mini and Sugo, who love being hand-fed. Not to mention it's completely PRIVATE and neighbours are masked by the gum trees that surround you. Indoors you'll find two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower/bath (along with a washing machine and dryer), and an open plan lounge and kitchen with a cosy wood heater. The kitchen comes with a gas cooktop and electric oven, alongside a dining table with four chairs, and all the cooking equipment you could possibly need, coffee pod machine and milk frother. Lounge also contains a split system heater/air con. The main bedroom has a king bed, a ceiling fan, a heater/air con and a wall-mounted TV. Plenty of cupboard and dresser space. The spare bedroom is equipped with a King Single and trundle with a single mattress. Linen and towels are provided. Guest access All five acres are yours to use throughout your stay. Make sure to hop across the road and venture down Bishops Creek to cool off on a hot day or for some nature frolicking in the cooler months. The property has a gravel driveway for ease of access for any type of vehicle. Other things to note Get ready for leisurely evenings in front of the fireplace, star gazing, bush walks, and gallivanting about the countryside. Enjoy an outdoor bath under starry skies with a wine and cheese, or read a book. Ask us for our personal recommendations and I will message you with a compiled list of things we love to do, see and mainly eat around the area. Hillside Haven is an excellent base for exploring quirky Nimbin - make sure to spend a morning at the Nimbin Valley Dairy and enjoy delicious cheeses (approx 10 mins drive). For the hiking enthusiasts, there are beautiful National Parks to explore around the corner; Mebbin National Park, Mount Jerusalem National Park, Nightcap National Park, amongst others (approx 30-45 mins). If you're into kayaking - Crams Farm Reserve is about 45 min away and then you can stop in Uki for a refreshing beverage at the iconic Mount Warning Tavern. The Channon is another hidden gem: make sure to hunt through stalls at the Channon markets on the 2nd Sunday of every month and stop in for lunch at the Channon Tavern. You can also discover Protestor falls, have a dip at Whian Whian falls, immerse yourselves in the serene walk of Minyon Falls, or have a stroll and picnic at Rocky Creek Dam (approx 25 mins). If you need a trip to the salty coast, then Ballina, Byron Bay and Lennox which offer breath-taking beaches, surf spots, nightlife and for the foodies - some great restaurant and cafe options (approx 60 mins) Firewood - can be bought at local servos or bring some with!
