The Creek Cottage is a bright and airy, open floor plan home located just 2 miles from town and 5 miles from Lake Ouachita. There is a king bed in the common area that can be walled off by the large room divider curtain. A separate bedroom has 2 large twin beds (daybed with trundle) and there is also a couch comfortable enough to sleep on if needed. One bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen complete this small gem in the woods overlooking a year-round creek. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, range, fridge, coffee pot and all the cookware and dishware you could need. Only thing it doesn't have is a dishwasher. Cell phone service (Verison and AT&T) is good but there is no wifi in the house. A TV with Dish service is included. Can respond within an hour. Ideal for fishermen and lake goers, there is ample boat parking and outside electric available for charging those batteries after a long day on the lake. Mountain Harbor is just 10 miles away with 3 additional launching ramps, Twin Creek, Denby Point/Ouachita Shores and Tompkins Bend/Shangri La Resort even closer. The Ouachita mountains are an outdoor adventurer’s paradise! Whatever you are into, hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, crystal digging or kayaking it’s all just a short distance away. The Ouachita, Womble and LOViT trailheads are within a 15-minute drive and many more trails less than an hour away. There are multiple access points to the Ouachita River for canoeing and kayaking right outside of Mount Ida and the Caddo River in Glenwood is just 16 miles. Multiple small restaurants are close by as well as a large grocery store and dollar stores. Montgomery County is dry so if you desire adult beverages bring them with you!
