Description
You're the only cabin on the lake. No other guests. No neighbours. Just you, private woodland, and water. You'll arrive to find the lakeside sauna and copper bath on the deck and secret nooks around the edge of the woods where you can watch the sunset and the stars in front of the fire pit. Hidden near to the Howardian Hills and Yorkshire Wolds, Kingfisher Cabin @ Kingfisher and Yew is a Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards finalist and featured in Living North's top retreats. The space YOUR OWN PRIVATE LAKE Having the lake to yourselves means you can be exactly who you need to be in every moment. So you can truly relax in complete privacy. Watch kingfishers swoop across the water, herons move through the shallows, and in spring, geese raise their goslings right there on the lake. You can observe it all from the warmth of the copper bath or from the comfort of the velvet sofa. HOW YOUR STAY COULD UNFOLD There's no prescribed way to use this space, but a rhythm emerges naturally: Mornings on the deck with coffee, watching mist rise from the water. The sauna heats while you eat a slow breakfast. Walk with your cup of tea to the swinging seat on the far side of the lake with a book and a pair of binoculars. Listen to the birds in the sauna, before braving the cold dunk and then climbing into the bath. And repeat. The copper bath is well insulated so you can soak in there for hours - and the roof makes sure you can be connected with the outdoors whatever the weather. By evening, the fire pit is lit in the woodland clearing where fields meet trees. Watch the light change. Some nights, you'll snuggle into the sofa for movie night—the SMART enabled projector's ready whenever you are.
