Description

Market Garden Cottage, an idyllic countryside retreat a peaceful oasis set in beautiful parkland where you can unwind, bask in the sun and truly slow down. Secluded yet perfectly placed, you’re moments from Leonardslee Gardens, South Lodge Spa Hotel and The Crabtree Inn, with private parking and a sunny deck surrounded by garden and countryside views. Sleeping up to 6 guests across 4 bedrooms, offers exceptional hotel-quality bedding and towels for deep rest and a genuine home-away-from-home. The space Market Garden Cottage sits on the edge of Crabtree within Lower Beeding Parish, forming part of the historic Leonardslee Garden Estate. Built in 1852 from faced sandstone by the Hubbard family for the head gardeners of Leonardslee, the cottage looks out across the former Victorian Market Garden and over 10 acres of fields leading to ancient woodland. The property is accessed directly from the A281 via a private drive and also forms part of a traditional plant nursery (Loder Plants), specialising in azaleas, camellias, hydrangeas and rhododendrons. Despite this, the cottage remains remarkably peaceful and secluded — something guests consistently comment on. It is an ideal retreat for: • Walkers and nature lovers • Bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts • Trail runners and mountain bikers • Guests simply wanting to stay put and relax Wildlife sightings are common — deer, foxes, ducks, geese, herons, kites, buzzards, bats, rabbits and squirrels are often seen from the house or garden. This is a quiet, tranquil setting, and while deeply relaxing, it is not suitable for loud parties. Appliances include: • Electric fan oven & induction hob • Microwave & air fryer • Dishwasher • Integrated fridge/freezer • Kettle, toaster, blender, cookware, glassware and utensils If there’s anything extra you need, just ask.
