Tucked away in Wendover Village & close to the Nature Reserve is ‘The Hide’. The perfect private space for a short stay in a quiet area. * Lovely room with en-suite WC & sink. Private entrance. Welcoming hosts. * Please note there is no access to a shower/bath or kitchen. 50mins to London Marylebone, 1 mile to the station/eateries/shops. 1 minute walk to the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal & routes to the Chiltern Hills, around the Chequers Estate & the Ridgeway. The space ‘The Hide’ Tucked away in beautiful Wendover Village and close to the Nature Reserve at Weston Turville is ‘The Hide’. It’s the perfect private space for a short stay in a quiet area. 50 mins from London Marylebone, 1 mile to the station. Close to transport links for visiting friends and family or working nearby. Our homely room is accessed via your own private exterior door and has a table and chairs outside your window (easy to pass the cups of tea through!) for those sunny days. This courtyard space is for guests only. Your room overlooks the garden (no access to this main garden) and we are on a quiet side road. You have tea, coffee and fresh water provided for your stay plus crockery and cutlery if you decide to bring your own food/take away to eat in the room. The table is great for coffee time but also extends to give you a good space to eat at or to have as a work station. You have a king sized bed, a Hypnos pillow top mattress (Hypnos supply Buckingham Palace!), feather duvet and pillows and a private ensuite WC with basin*. When messaging to book, it would be very helpful to mention that you’re OK without shower or bath facilities. We do always confirm this with every guest. Our guests use their gym membership, place of work, friends/family’s house to shower or don’t mind not showering until they go home. Whichever you prefer, we like to make sure you know this information before confirming your booking. (We will need you to confirm that you are OK with the situation and then we can book you in, this just makes sure there’s no misunderstanding for guests on arrival.) Nestled in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet within a short walk to the village centre, ‘The Hide’ combines country living with easy access to attractions. We are a 1 minute walk to Weston Turville Nature reserve, the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal pathway and the numerous walking routes across the Chiltern Hills, around the Chequers Estate and the Ridgeway. Wendover is a pretty market town with great independent shops and places to eat including Tapas, Italian, deli, chocolatier, cafés and traditional country pubs. We’re very happy to recommend places to our guests. *Please note there is no kitchen or shower/bath or access to these during your stay - we are planning to upgrade this in time but our nightly rate reflects this and we hope you will still have a very comfortable stay. There is a locked interconnecting door to our family home. You also have an extra lock from your side for extra peace of mind. We also have a lovely cat who will be around and about but who mostly likes her own space! And a dog who is a friendly Cavapoo. Neither are ever allowed in The Hide. You may see them around but we will keep them away from guests unless you say otherwise. Guest access Side gate leading to a private courtyard area with table and chairs.
