Description
Take a break with us in a beautiful furnished bell tent, here at Greenfaulds Glamping. We provide a double bed and a single futon, with bedding, electric heater, kettle, vacuum cleaner and electric sockets with USB. There's a compost toilet, and sink, camp fires and BBQs allowed, firewood provided. Beautiful views, and interaction with the animals on the farm. Well behaved dogs welcome. Access track is rough, if coming in small car drive carefully! The space Our bell tent is a 4 metre tent, carpeted for comfort and supplied with a double bed, a single futon, hypo allergenic duvets and pillows, covers, sheets and extra blankets. There are books and board games, a kettle, cups and teaspoons, heater, lamp, torch and electric sockets. Fresh handtowel provided daily in toilet as well as paper towel, soap, toilet paper, mirror, cleansing wipes and hand gel. Guest access Access is off a single track lane, up a slightly rough dirt track, so please drive carefully, especially if you have a smaller car. There is ample parking close to/right beside the tent. Other things to note We are a working smallholding, and from time to time there will be associated work ongoing. This may mean muddy conditions sometimes or untidiness around the farm - we have been repairing roofs all summer - and there will be animals free ranging, coming and going. There will also be different ways of interacting with life on the farm, if you choose to do so; from feeding the ducks and chickens, to meeting horses and goats, and depending on the time of year perhaps meeting baby chicks, helping us bottle feed lambs or kids, or maybe taking a goat or pony for a walk! There is plenty to do in the local area, from visiting the world heritage centre at New Lanark, panning for gold or visiting the Crawick multiverse art installation near Sanquar, to a round of golf at the nearby golf course or eating out in one of several good local eateries. There are some great walks directly from the farm, as we are on the edge of Cumberhead forest, where you can walk all day and not meet another person.
