Description
Hidden away behind electric gates on a private estate, the Birds Nest is high up with uninterrupted views of the countryside. Perfect for outdoor pursuits, relaxation, work or romance. Close by are rural pubs, award winning restaurants, farm shops and a thriving market town. There is plenty to do; country walks, golf, fishing, holistic therapies, shopping and 4 stately homes within 10 miles Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate babies or children due to potential falls from height The space The Bird's Nest is located at the far end of the house, above the ballroom, it is quiet and private. The open plan kitchen & living room have bi-fold doors that open onto the outdoor seating area, letting in light and fresh air with stunning views. The kitchen table opens out to provide ample work space for work, crafting and baking. We have on site secure storage for bikes, local walks start right outside of the gates where you can amble along bridleways and disused railway routes. We have a local award winning pub and restaurant in Harrington (5 minutes drive or 40 minutes walk) The Tollemache Arms serves superb food, cocktails and real ale on tap. Reformer Pilates is available at ‘The Old Dairy’ in Lamport. Yoga and Reiki are available in the village and in Market Harborough (12 minutes drive) Market Harborough itself is a thriving market town with artisan food shops (bakery, fishmonger, butcher) in addition to the White Company, Jo Malone, Hotel Chocolate, Lakeland and many independent shops. The Bird’s Nest itself has all of the amenities for cooking, but if you prefer to just relax, The Bull's Head is only 2 minutes walk away. Kelmarch Hall is a 4 minute drive away where you can look round the house and gardens, visit the gift shop. The Café serves a nice lunch in beautiful surroundings. Also relatively close by is Althrop Hall, Lamport Hall, Coton Manor Gardens and Cottesbrook Hall all worth visiting. Guest access The gates will be open for your arrival, with plenty of room to park up to 2 vehicles. Access is via the back door (keypad access) in to a utility room then a dog leg up to the Bird's Nest. If you want to bring bikes etc. these can be stored securely, please let me know before hand. Other things to note There is a patio area for your use with comfortable garden furniture and lighting. Silverstone is 30 miles away (approx 40 minute drive), alternatively there is a Helipad on site, please contact me if you would like more details.
